I would love to see this fight, even now. In some ways they're similar. Hughes is a wrestler with good submission knowledge. Shields is a wrestler that has become a bjj fighter. Hughes' stand-up is improving, and Shields is one top fighter he is superior to in this regard. Could Hughes be taking a page out of Couture's playbook, and continue to be a force in the sport? Hughes' fights with Trigg were a lot of fun, and I believe this one could be too. Personally, I would pick Shields to win at this stage. Then again, I've picked against Hughes his last 3 fights.
Please no, I want to believe Hughes can win, but I don't want to see him lose to Shields. Shields vs Swick? Cesar Gracie Camp vs AKA?
I have zero interest in seeing Swick at this point, Sheilds versus Fitch(as boring as that mofo is) is better.
