Here's a great fight- a fun filled fight, good rebound fight for Kessler, international flavor to it.. Bika is coming off that great CONTENDER series.. Kessler-Bika!! Make this fight.. Kesller TKO 9 Sakio Bika
Kessler sparred with Bika up to the Andrade fight. Apparently Kessler dominated Bika. I know you can't put much into sparring, but Kessler will give Bika a good solid beating probably winning by late TKO.
With BIka's looping punches style, he lieaves himself exposed to straight punches down the middle (e.g Codrington knockdown of Bika in round one). Kessler has exactly the right style to exploit that, I think if Bika tries to slug it out, he will be knocked out. Otherwise it will be a convincing UD for Kessler.
bika would make a good tuneup for kessler. bika is a true gatekeeper. good enough to beat the second raters, but not good enough for the real top talents. i´d rather see bika vs brahmer, froch, pascal, green and so on. cause these guys would be tested for their true worth. kessler is proven and would be just too technical for bika. he´d win a UD. but shutout very likely.
kessler would win handily, perhaps get drawn into a messy brawl occassionally but pull it out by late tko or ud by miles
It would be a great fight for both. Kessler will be expected to win and easy but Bika brings alot to the table especially considering he gave Calzaghe an harder fight than Kessler did (nearly). Plus Fighting Bika would give Kese more American exposure and be a fight that he could gain his focus for to regain all the belts. Bika needs this fight and will go into it with a decent chance.
only reason calzaghe struggeld against bika like he did was because he let himself drag into a brawl! look at the rounds were he stayed focused and boxed him instead of brawl with him. had he done the same thing against kessler he would have been in deep trouble, so he didnt!
If the Calzaghe Kessler faught had a go at Bika it would be a completely different fight than their first. I think Kessler wins this fight 99 of 100 times.
Sparring means nothing. Spadafora gave Floyd all he could handle in sparring. In a real boxing match, Floyd would easily outpoint him.
i guess i know they sparred, but they must have done it more than once cause kessler dominated bika the only time i have heard of, but i guess u know something none of us do:nut
wow, not like you to get things wrong is it? kessler owned bika in sparring leading to sakio telling the press that joe had very little chance against mikkel, you can thank me later for correcting you again.
