Kessler has the wba strap so it gives bhop the oppertunity to be a champ at 168, both are coming off wins and both have been beat by the welsh father joe calzaghe (joke) :rofl:rofl

I think it is a good fight, and neither has anything concrete lined up but i think it will never happen but if it did who you got ? :think

Hopkins doesn't want it, even at 170.

I can't see why Hopkins would be intersted in a title, he just fights big fights ala your Winkys and your Pavliks.

Since when did Calzaghe beat Hopkins?

Kesslers next superfight seems like it's already mapped out. I can't see Hopkins wanting to wait till Christmas to fight him - I should think he will have retired by then.

This will be like Hopkins-Pavlik I would bet my house on it. Kessler is too robotic and slow in loading up punches. He is too conventional to beat the slick Hopkins.

Well, he never held a SMW title, so if he's willing to make 168, he can fight the best 168-er for another big achievement, making him a 3-division champ. But it seems he's after the better known names in the US, unfortunately.

Hopkins might win but no way would it be as one-sided as Pav/Hop. True, Kessler is pretty cautious, not overly fluid and he does need to set himself but he has far faster feet the Pavlik and he's dealt ok with movers in the past in Mundine and Calzaghe. It would probably be a fairly boring fight cos I think Hopkins would have more trouble landing on Kessler than he did on Pavlik.

I think at the end of the day it's a far bigger achievement to beat other great fighters than win a title. Why is it unfortunate that he wants to fight bigger names?

Bernard would never get beat by a white boy.

Yes, good fight, hope it happens.

It will be a boring fight yes. Also clinching won't work against Kessler.

Still, Hopkins only fights guys who have clear disadvatages to him either in size (DLH, Trinidad, Winky, Pavlik) or in style (Calzaghe, Tarver).
No such disadvantage for Kessler and B-Hop knows it.

It would be different to the Pavlik fight..maybe that much more competitive but different.

Thing is Bernard doesnt get into outside shootouts or jab battles anymore..He takes this to the inside and in the clinch Mikkel wont know what to do.
