How about Pettis-Maynard for the next title challenger?

The second was a draw...IMO it's the only one that really deserved a rematch.

Immediat rematch for close fight pisses me off TBH. IMO the first rematch for BJ could have waited as well as the rematch against Henderson....


But if you get a draw in a title fight I guess a immediate rematch is needed !

Yeah, but it was for Gray. Dana didn't want to do it initially but then he thought he'd be ****ing Maynard over. Didn't really affect Edgar as he was still the champ.

Nevertheless, people did think the BJ fight was close and BJ wasn't prepared etc. Second fight was a close draw and even the fight against Hendo was close with many having it for Edgar.

Personally, I like immediate rematches in these cases. I much prefer that the score is settled before one of them lose or get injured and their paths never cross again but that controversial blotch still remains on their record.

Frankie is always contending with bigger people but he is so skilled and tough that he makes fights close. Most guys in his situation would just get blown away and there would be no controversy but he recovers and keeps chipping away. What a fighter.

Imagine if he finds a way to beat Hendo then finally steps down to 145.
