face it, both are coming off very damaging losses. in cintrons case physical.

in williams case more like an end to the hype.

so why not fight eachother??? its not like cintron has many other options.

and for williams this is a good chance to get some momentum going.

i would go for williams by late stoppage.

Cintron has the ability to starch all at weleter weight but he's a mental midget and would be crushed by Cotto, Margo possibly Clotty and outpointed by Quintana and Williams.

I wouldn't mind seeing that fight, but my guess is that both guys will take an easier opponent for their comeback bouts. I'd love to see it eventually.

yes, i meant after a tuneup or two. as the fight to get back in the mix. or go home for the loser.

Oh, yeah, definitely. A win would be a nice boost for either guy, just as a loss would be damaging. With the stakes being so high, we would likely see the best from each fighter.

You guys write guys off too quickly after a loss.

That mentality is bad for boxing.

It's why guys face tomato cans all the time, they can't afford a loss while building up a record to make fairweather fans take notice.

i´m not writing off williams, cause his loss may have been caused by quintanas style.

in cintrons case...........the way he lost showed that he just lacks a fighters mentality (at least at top level).

and that is a good reason imo to "write someone off".

Williams is fighting Quintana in June I believe, why would he fight Cintron? I think Cintron should probably fight the loser of Mosley - Judah.

Well if Williams wins his rematch fight with Quintana, there really wouldn't be a need to fight Cintron. Only if Williams looses again to Quintana, then yeah duke it out with Cintron...

i say no ... because if he beats quintana and convincingly...

his loss is a fluke and it puts his name back with the welterweight elite..

if i was with pw.. id go after the loser of cotto vs marg

    and put quintana fighting cintron

then maybe the winner of cotto marg fights the winner of zab and shane....

I think if Paul gets the WBO back he should challenge Clottey for the IBF belt he is probably going to win, then go after Shane or Zab, to pad his resume with a big name.

I think both men are flawed, they have some skills but are by no means the next coming , it would be a fight to see who is second and third place...

    A match of losers....

I still think Cintron takes Williams out. Williams powerless punches wont cause the problem that Margos punches did to him.
Cintron is faster than Margo and we all saw how often Margo hit williams. Cintron also punches straighter.
    Cintron by late stoppage.

cintron hasn't face any top name welterweight, if he didn't fought margo he will be forced to fight against clottey, in which another fight he would lose. Williams on the other hand could even take margo's punches and would be effective against cintron. I'll pick a williams by KO or UD

Now theres berto...he needs to be in the mix, and probably he should fight cintron
