How absolutely unbelievable would it be if Lennox saw a flaw in Vitali and came back?

You know Lennox Lewis has had at least some tiny bit of interest in coming back for the rematch with Vitali, the $100 million request, the supposed secreet training two years ago, what if he saw some flaws in Vitali vs. Gomez and got confidence? saw Vitali slowed down and fatigued early?

Would this not be the greatest year in HWT boxing history - Haye vs. Wlad and Vitali vs. Lennox II? By the way Vitali looked vs. Gomez and LLs quietness about it, who knows maybe it's not a pipe dream.

He's seen many flaws in Vitali, as we all have. He is severely lacking in movement, he seems to be restricted by his knee and injuries over the years, nevermind his age. He blows hard after 6 rounds, against a guy that is not even hugely testing him. He lacks a lot of timing when somebody moves in and out of range as Gomez did. If a guy is static like Peter he has little problem, but against Gomez he was struggling to time anything other than a jab for long periods.

There are a lot of flaws in this current version of Vitali, but having the motivaton to get into the gym and come back is something else.

Lennox´plan in 2003 was to fight Vitali, a rematch vs. Tyson and Wladimir.

He retired already after fighting Vitali, because he knew, that a cut stoppage win is all he can accomplish vs. Vitali.

    Thats the reality.

So Lennox wont come back. He knows, that he gets KTFO.

    :rofl

Lewis retired because he knows he was losing it, he knows he was past his prime and didn't want to risk his legacy for the sake of a pay packet he didn't need.

And how did he know he was losing it? Because he knows that in his prime he would of battered Vitali from pillar to post.

On topic, like TFFP said I'm sure he would of seen flaws that most have. Backing up some of his points, it's true he struggled to time Gomez with anything but the jab, he's pretty slow, stamina isn't great, doesn't move.

Really, all he has going for him is that he's tall and upright and makes the use of his jab, which is very stiff and backs opponents up, he has a powerful right hand behind it but struggles to time it, and that he can take punishment because he has a good chin.

We waited eight years to see Leonard vs. Hearns, because it was inevitable, they both knew they had to do it again. Lewis vs. Vitali II, despite how unlikely it seems, there is also an inevitability about it. Deep down in their warrior hearts, they know they have to do it again.

Yeah but imagine the flaws Lewis would have after his long vacation from the sport.

    True.

Lewis isn't going to be able to launch a Vitali Klitschko style comeback. I mean Vitali was ageing but still in fighting shape, the 4 year lay-off was just injuries after all. It's not like Lewis has had a lay-off because of injuries or anything, it's because of permanant decline in physical shape, and he couldn't possibly hope to get back into peak condition now.

How absolutely unbelievable would it be if the Klitschkos fought each-other and then offered Lummox $100,000,000 to come back?

    You heard his offer. :deal

LL sure looked like he was in his prime vs. Tyson in 02 and aging like fine wine.

You Vitali fans act like Lewis owes him something, as if he has to come back and prove something.

    Here's a newsflash. Lewis TKO 6 Vitali.

He was way out of shape and was still cutting Vitali to shreds, and had clearly taken over the fight by the time of the stoppage. I reckon he would have stopped Vitali on is feet in the 7th or 8th.

    Saw a flaw?

Did you see what Lewis did to him on short notice, out of shape and 38?

Look at the state of his face!
