How accurate would you say Pacquaio is as a puncher? I mean, how many punches does he need to throw to land one good one? I think the Hoya fight will come down to not only Pac's speed but his ability to land quick and move away. I think his accuracy needs some work but his speed is there but without the accuracy he might just be hitting Hoya's gloves and arms. If he can't land solid and quick then he has to stay on the inside for longer periods in which case the ball falls back into Hoya's court.

He is pretty accurate based on my observation. He also throws a ton of punches something tells me he won't be as busy versus Oscar.

I think Pacman's only chance is to stay on the outside the first few rounds and make DLH chase him and exert some energy and hope that DLH fades in the later rounds as he usually does. If Pacman tries to engage, he's going to get KTFO IMO. DLH is not a P4P guy but he's still very talented.

I still can't wait to see them standing right next to each other to see the huge difference in size. It's going to be hilarious.

I just saw the Cassius Clay vs Doug Jones fight and there was a twenty pound weight difference with Clay looking much bigger, especially the shoulder span. It brought to mind this fight between Hoya and Pac. Only difference was the height difference wasn't as big between Clay/Jones as that between Hoya/Pac. Anyway, what became clear early on was that Clay was struggling with the more accurate puncher who was able to time his famous jab with counterpunches that were clearly hurting Clay. This was definately a robbery imo and Jones deserved the win. I made a comparison to this fight and think Manny could pull through in a similar fashion but at the same time those straight accurate punches that Jones had Pac doesn't have. He needs to throw many punches to land the good left he is famous for. It is a deadly left but he will have use it against someone with a better left than himself.

Well, that was a HW fight where the weight difference isn't as much a factor.

And maybe you're right. Maybe Pacman doesn't try to box and just does his usual thing by being the aggressor and taking the fight to DLH. Problem is that he can get countered by DLH's fast hands and power and get KTFO.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I think Hoya wins this one. But just trying to see how Pac can win.

    thats a really interesting thought:good

I guess now everyhting will depend on Oscar's new trainer and his strategy. If they decide to destroy Pacman in first rounds and if that for some reason won't happen, then we might get something like Jones/Ali .

Looks like Oscar started to worry about the fight as everything goes wrong. Mayweather Sr while making his comments about the fight seemed to forget who trained Oscar for Mayweather.
