How accurate was LaMotta - Fox in "Raging Bull" ?

    The one he took a dive in. If i remember correct, in the film he basically staggers the guy with the first punch he threw. And then went out like he did in his last fight with Robinson. Was this accurate or did they spice things up a bit to make the movie more dramatic?

    What I know: he didn't go down, he went out on the ropes. That's about all. He refused to go down even with mobsters hanging over him :lol:

    As to LaMotta's first shot...couldn't say. Dramatised would be my guess.

    Hard to tell with out film lol. As said before even thought Jake took the dive, he did not go down. Outside of that, thats about all I know about the fight.

    The TKO looked lame in person, D, but not as focused and dramatic as the film. As for Jake's life, "Raging Bull" was the Mary Poppin's version.
