Predicted cooper in 5 the first time. There is footage of his saying foreman wouldn't be so tough in seven rounds, stopped him in the 8th
Dong Jones was other one Ali didnt get right. I belive Ali though he get Jones out of there in 7. Or was it 5? Either way, Jones went the full ten rounds.
From pro debut Oct. 29, 1960 to October, 1962 (after fighting Alejandro Lavorante and before fighting Archie Moore) Ali was 15-0 with 12 KO's. So now that you got that wrong, I'm not sure of the accuracy of the rest of your statement. atsch
the info came out of my Muhammad Ali Greatest Of All Time book so i consider that more reliable than most info.
regardless of your blind faith, the information is wrong. By the time Muhammad was 8-0 he only had 5 KO's. Two back-to-back 10 round decisions to Duke Sadedong and Alonzo Johnson along with a 6 round decision win over Tunny Hunsacker in Ali's pro debut guranteed that 13 KO's in 15 fights is an impossiblility. I think it was 7 rounds. Muhammad said that Liston did n't come out for that round, just to foil his prediction
That's why I gave two other references and they agree with boxrec. Why didn't you check them out also? :huh That book you keep talking about is the only reference in the world that disagrees with every other reference. Regardless, let's not continue this pissing match about Alis boxing record, if you want to believe the record that the book is depicting, that is fine with me. I came here for some documentation on Ali's predictions. No one has been able to come up with any reliable documentation about Alis predictions after a few days now and the whole internet as a resource. I think it is safe to assume at this point that Ali's predictions were never cataloged, ever. It's just all guesswork at this point.
heres a VERY interesting story i dont know the name of the fighter so i'll just use the name "Johnson" for the hell of it So Ali was gonna fight some guy named Taylor Johnson Ali's predictions were actually SO good that during one of his questionaire things, one of the reporters asked something like: "Ali your predictions are so perfect that people think your fights are fixed..what do u have to say about that? Ali responds: is it a fix if johnson goes down in six?? come fight night Ali knocks brutally knocks him out with 2min left in the 6th round
According to Thomas Hauser, Cassius Clay had correctly predicted seven out of the previous eight results before his matchup with Doug Jones. Of course, Cooper was stopped in accordance with Clay's prophecy as well. Eight so far. Once Ali became champion, he himself said predicting was just a way of drawing attention to himself as a challenger, thus somewhat retiring from the prediction game. After this, I would say his predictions were his going through the motions and a rather useless psychological tactic. If Dunn is included, that would make NINE.
