Nothing to sneeze at by any means.

When asked about the incorrect prediction on the Doug Jones fight, Ali said he actually made two predictions, first saying it would last only 4 rounds, then 6 rounds. He then told to add up the two predictions, which is the amount of rounds the fight was scheduled for. :good

I previously mentioned Mac Foster as a prediction he made a determined effort to deliver on, and openly expressed frustration in the ring at failing when the bell rang to end the appointed round.

Just over a year later, it happened again, when he took on Bugner for the first time. Ali predicted a seventh round knockout, and when the bell rang to end that round, Ali again threw up his hands in open disgust and frustration, while Joe raised his in a gesture of triumph as he headed back to his corner.

He also predicted he'd deck Chuvalo in their rematch, and repeatedly tried to deliver on that promise late as George taunted him to hit harder. Muhammad rifled home a number of rights to Chuvalo's bloodied head, but couldn't come close to putting him down.

Fairly accurate, especially in his early days when he predicted more often when he was known as Cassius Clay.

The title of this thread is HORRIBLE.

Why would a reader's initial assumption when asked about how accurate Muhammad Ali was be "how accurate were his predictions"?

You muppet. If you start a thread called "How accurate was Muhammad Ali?" it had better be about his punching accuracy.

One of my fave ones was the Richard Dunn one - can't remember the name of the reporter but some newspaper man pushing Ali everyday for a round prediction every single day day after day and every day Ali kept sayin "no I don't do that anymore - I'm never going to predict another round ever again" - well after the fight the reporter comes to the edge of the ring and says "you looked luke you coulda stopped him whenever you wanted to champ?" and Ali struggles to remove his gloves and gives them to the reporter and says "you can go and auction them for $5000" and the reporter says "who's gunna pay $5000 for a pair of old gloves?" and Ali turns back to him and says "look inside the gloves..." and written inside the gloves in thick black marker is "KO 7" exactly the round he'd just done job!! Ali gives him a cheeky grin and a wink and wanders off into the night still champ and still the greatest :)

He was accurate enough that he was called to speak in front of a New York board about abolishing boxing. They asked Ali don't you think it's fishy that your fights have all ended in the round you predicted. Ali then replied will it be a fix when I get Doug Jones in six
The entire room broke out laughing. Ali promised to keep quiet. For the Doug Jones weigh in he taped his mouth shut and held up his fingers in the round Jones would fall
