How amazing is the HW division right now?

Wlad and Vit were better and they would beat Joshua, wilder , fury.

Not that amazing. You've basically got one guy who's great then a couple of pretenders and run of the mill wannabes.

It's competitive, and the guys at the top are fighting each other, but talent wise it's far from amazing. Watch Uysk step up and show you what actual talent can do.

Barring Fury no one has stand out fundamentals, and Fury has many problems of his own. Lack of focus and concentration being his biggest flaws.

The Klits would have dominated today as easily as they did through the 00s. Guys today also wouldn't be facing each other if the Klits where around for fear of losing the Klits payday.

A competitive division makes an open division and is more enjoyable to watch. Better for the fans today, but talent wise we have no standout comparable to the 90s (Also competitive but with immense talent, one of greatest eras) or Klits (Boringly dominated division)

Solis, Adamek, Arreola, Sanders, Gomez, and Peter were more highly regarded if not outright better. (Yes I know that some were not title defenses.)

Again, how cares? It's a fight between two top ten contenders and it was a brilliant fan friendly affair.

I mean look at the top 4 guys right now. Joshua, Fury, Wilder and Whyte.

Chances are the next two fights will be

Joshua Vs Whyte which we know will be a competitive slug fest.
Fury Vs Wilder which we know will be a competitive slug fest.

The remainder of the top ten is Ortiz, Povetkin, Miller, Chisora, Pulev, Parker. Chances are some of those guys will be facing off against each other as well. I'd love to see Chisora Vs Parker. Ortiz Vs Povetkin would be a too fight. Miller Vs Pulev has a realistic chance of happening as well.

These are all fan friendly fights at the very top of the division.

I don't care if someone thinks in days gone buy Chisora would be a fringe top 20 guy, the fact is today he's solid top 10 and mixing it up in enjoyable fights with his peers.

You could easily make the same point about todays era. Why would Fury and Wilder fight each other and risk losing out on the Joshua payday?

Klitschko opponents weren't really better paid than guys around today ... Chisora made a measly 300k against Vitali. Chisora made more money against with Dillian Whyte.
Briggs literally made nothing against Vitali. Dillian Whyte is probably making the same money Vitali was making.

Pulev made around around a mil or less against Wlad , he was due to make 3 or 4 against Joshua.

Povetkin made 5M against Wlad and thats only because his promoter put up 23M to win the purse bids , he effectively paid himself.. . He made 6M from Eddie Hearn when he fought Joshua.
Its more realistic to say contenders wouldn't fight each other today , since there is way more money on the table than there was during the Klitschko era , yet they are all fighting each other anyway.

The Klts , Wlad in particular , wouldn't be able to contain this HW era in Germany where he can change the rules to suit his illegal clinch-box style. He wouldn't dominate this era much like he didn't dominate the first era of his career from 98-05 which was mostly fought in the states.

It's weird, kind of pretty good and also not.

There isn't much quality there in reality. But it's all very competitive. I think the gulf between AJ/Fury and probably still Wilder with the rest is quite big. But the rest of them are all of a similar level, so it means there are so many competitive fights around. Ortiz and Pov were in the top tier for sure and I'd probably still pick them over most but both being the ages they are means they're only getting worse. As for the other dudes: Parker, Takam, Whyte, Chisora, Ruiz Jr, Breazeale and Miller are all around the same sort of area I feel. Those that have fought each other out of them have had competitive fights.

Agree with you mate. Tyson holyfield Lewis would smash this division. Not one heavyweight would even be anywhere near these guys. Joshua is the most hyped fighter I have seen ever .

If usyk starts beating these HW’s when he steps up Joshua will avoid him like the plague. I’ve said it for years usyk will rule the heavyweights

saying it for years ? Well not on this alt anyway which is from 2017 . Lol

And how can AJ AVOID him when Usyk is able to fight him right away with a WBO super champion position mandatory he can activate that allow a CW champion to fight him should he move in HW ?

See these anti AJ posts don't really work do they ? Lol

And anyone who thinks AJ would avoid anyone doesn't really know what they're talking about in the first place .

It is more exciting now than in the past 10 years
We have a robot body builder, a basketball Windmill, a big aze baby over 300lbs, a rehab survivor in the Gypse King, the body snatcher who takes more to the body than he delivers, a mad Russian, a 50 year old King Kong, and the whole group are flawed which makes it so entertaining

This. It's certainly a lot more interesting lately, but that's not hard considering that not long ago it was downright embarrassing.

Yes but there aren't around right now. We only have the top ten of today and the fact is most are facing each other and most fights are fan friendly.

This is an amazing time to be a HW fan.
