:deal should be a war!! Solid card all the way through!! Why people on a boxing website don't want to watch a good night of boxing is a little weird:.

Yea it is very strange. It has been like this for the past 6 months or so (or at least since I've really been noticing) this site is always angry. You have people saying it's a **** year, Froch-Kessler wasn't any good, Escalante-Roman had no skill involved, every close fight is a robbery, this guy sucks, this guy is overrated, etc. It's a strange site, and I get the feeling about 75% of these users aren't really boxing fans they just watch whatever big mega fight IE: Mayweather-Mosley, Pacquiao-Clottey, Pacquiao-Margarito, etc.

I'm definately ordering it, not as much for the main fight, although i'm still interested in it, but more for the undercard. Want to see Canelo and how he is improving, and Victor Ortiz needs to keep proving he still gots what it takes to be a superstar. The Ponce De Leon fight will be awesome as well, it's a Mexican stacked card, and i am sure this along with the fact that we just celebrated our independence will make for a good numbers on the pay per view sales.

This is the only way to stage decent fights without HBO/Showtime money. Cable TV would not come close to offer the money needed even if all the fighters took major paycuts and I would rather HBO/Showtime pick fights judiciously. Which is exactly what they did when they turned this down, and remember that they are paying very little to distribute the PPV.

Without this PPV some of these fighters wouldn't fight until next spring.

It's HBO's fault for allowing this fight to be in PPV. They gave too many schedules to GBP.

That's essentially Dan Rafael's point, IMO.

At this point, what's done is done so it's better to just accept having this be on PPV and get to keep the other World Championship Boxing dates.

  7. This **** fight on PPV, is a joke, just put snookie, and lady gaga in the ring, that would draw more tha, Mosley-Mora...
Mosley is shot, his fight against FM was paitiful, and Mora should be selling cars, id rather watch fly's ****..

once and for all PPV in 2010 is not the same PPV in 1988
Tyson-Spinks on PPV? yes, mega fight , we get it

    Pavliks last fight
    duddy vs chavez jr
    mora vs mosley

no one would air those fights on HBO, SHOWTIME, ABC, NBC, ESPN, ESPN2,3,4,5 ect
it would cost the channels more money than what they think its worth. so its an independent production just to have the fight aired as well as to generate some money to pay everyone. are they trying to scam you? no. they arent building it up as a mega fight.....its simply an alternative way to show a fight on tv that no one wanted to pick up..... its there if you want it, if not, who cares. and no, its not gonna be aired on HBO the following weekend.

    Is HBO broadcasting it?

If not then it makes sense and its no different than a TR Latin Fury card.

If HBO is part of it then yeah...its a travesty of a PPV and a waste of quality resources.

I usually order fights, but I don't think I can convince myself to spend 45$ on this ****. I don't have a vested interest in the outcome of any of these fights. They are BAD level to me.

I think HBO is handling the production and providing commentators but Golden Boy is funding pretty much the rest of it.

You act like there is something wrong with stealing. The government steals nearly half my paycheck every two weeks and gives it to underachievers. Stealing is as American as apple pie.
