he obviously is wary if pacquiao. thats why hes fighting an aggresive southpaw first.

I still think Ortiz beat Peterson, but the fact that it was even close is not good for Ortiz. Peterson is not in the same universe as Floyd

if the mayweather's keep saying that pac is an easy fight, then ortiz is peanuts.

Have you seen Ortiz fight night weights in his last 3 fights?

all true, yes. but on fight night all that will go out the window as floyd frustrates him and leaves him bewildered on way to a lopsided points win. so many of floyd's past opponents have had all the attributes you've listed but all fallen short (barring castillo).......after seeing ortiz perform against a slow and awfully crude maidana.....perform flatly against a shot and shite looking campbell........would you have ever given him a real chance against FMJ then? be honest. i certainly wouldn't have. i know berto was an excellent win for him, but it's really given people alot of false hope. i hope i'm wrong, cos it would be grand to see victor shut that big mouth of floyd's. but i just don't see anyone beating floyd now. he's like a klitschko: if he has to make it boring he will (and frequently does), but one way or another he wins.

A lot of people on here saying this is a gimme for Floyd, don't know, Ortiz is a massive WW and for all Floyd's talent he's now what, 33? I don't think he has the power either to get Ortiz's respect and Ortiz is not a 38/39 year old long gone shot fighter (i.e.Mosley, ditto for Pac) so for the first time in long, long time Floyd is going to get dragged into a dog-fight where he's going to get physically bullied by an Ortiz weighing 160lbs plus come fight night.

Floyd is the favourite but this fight is not so clear cut.....

Hatton gave Floyd problems? Really? And him " having to work " is a deceptive claim because it actually insists that Floyd was really in grave danger and Hatton was doing something substantial in that fight other than staying close to Floyd with good footwork. Thats the only thing Hatton did to endanger Floyd

he beat one hype job through sheer power, doesnt have defense, doesnt use a jab and is facing an ATG. unless he lands something big its embarrassment central

Not too long ago Ortiz faced peterson and drew against him, even though he almost knocked him out. Also Peterson is smaller than mAyweather and is a 1000x better boxer.

Beating Berto, a glorified hypejob, does not constitute in Ortiz giving Floyd a run for his money.

Ortiz would be lucky to win 3 rounds agiant floyd, and I'm being generous.
