How are canadians watching Pavlik/Martinez Bute/miranda tonite?!!!!

It is not on HBO Canada because:

1. Most people having HBO Canada are English Canadians who don't like and/or watch boxing watsoever.

2. Interbox (Bute's promoters) can make more money if they only broadcast it on PPV (as they own the bars/restaurants ''La cage aux sports'', which are quite alot in Quebec).

3. That doesn't make a big difference for HBO as the Canadian population is roughly 10 times smaller than the USA's.

I think Pavlik vs Martinez will be shown on PPV, but I'm not sure.

 

It's on indigo channel but I've got no HD at home so I'm gonna try to get in to a downtown bar to see both fights, the only problem here in Montreal is that with a NHL playoffs game involving the Canadiens right before the fight, it's gonna be packed in every sports bar as soon as 6 pm...

 

I dont think its their fault. They show all HBO BADs, and championship boxing. I dont think they just decided lets not show the Bute/Pavlik card. It was the promoters decision to put it on PPV (which they do with all of Butes fights, none of which are actually PPV caliber cards). What really pisses me off about this, is that they ****ed us out of the Pavlik Martinez fight in the process. If they wanted to put Bute and St. Juste on PPV, fair enough, but we shouldnt lose the Pavlik fight because of them. The worst part of the whole thing is that they actually have the nerve to charge 50 bucks for something that people with HBO Canada should be getting for free. If it was 30 bucks, I'd probably just buy it anyway. But at 50? Thats just insulting. I will never order one of their PPVs. I will watch Strikeforce tonight, and download the fights tomorrow.

 

I know, that's outrageous. And it's 60$ in HD:scaredas:. Anyway, they know how to make money...
