How are judges supposed to award a round in the 10-point system?

I want to understand the order in which judges consider what they see in order to award the round to the better fighter. I know they see punches landed, aggression, and defense. But I was wondering if someone could clarify it more and suggest which aspects of the fight are the most important when scoring.

Clean effective punching is suppose to be the main thing. Listen to Harlod Letterman he always says that.

fighter a and b rd 1 feeling out rd not much action, fighter a landed 6 jabs while fighter b landed 5 jabs who gets the rd?

I say its 10-10 rd as no one dominated the rd. I say more rds where nothing of consequence happens or there is little action should be scored 10-10 rds.

there is a difference between ring generalship and just going foward or running. Ring generalship consists of using footwork and hand speed to control distance and out punch your opponent while making him miss.

It depends on the money, we have the best judges money can buy.
