How **** are Mayweather and Pacquiao compared to ATG welterweights from yesteryear?

How far back we going? early 2000's, 90's 80's

 

good when you consider how far off welter is from their original weight classes

 

Floyd would be able to compete and win a couple of titles. he just have a couple of L's on his record. definately not "****" compared to ANY boxer. even Poochy would do ok. theres a reason why theyre elite compared to everyone else boxing today

 

They can hold their own against any WW in history. The talent level of those two is pretty insanse.

 

Both are great fighters, but I don't rank them highly at WW (at least compared to them at lower weights). As I've said before, people match them up H2H with guys like Hearns and the two Sugar Rays. They're better off being matched up with WWs like Starling, Curry, Quartey, Oscar, etc.....champs of a lower-tier.

No shame in that at all.

Them being this successful at WW just shows how much better they are compared to other fighters of this era.

Well Manny and Floyd are not big welters and h2h probably should be matched at lower weights

Floyd is more like a 140 pounder and had some of his best moments and displays there

as dominant as Manny has been at 147 you cant deny he is not a natural welter and gifted hard hitting athletic welters of then would expose that

at lower weights Manny does just fine vs legends

Pac and May would compete best at 140. but at 147? WW of the yesteryears were way bigger than these two small WWs.
