Just watched the repeat, Kiko fought like a man possessed.

I've seen a lot of Kiko over the years as he's fought over in the UK quite a few times but lately he seems to be so much better than he was a few years back, against Frampton and especially Romero he puts so much more intensity into his performances and looks in a lot better shape as well.

    That was cool.

Having seen Momo lose the plot a little against Chris Avalos we already knew that pressure and heavy hands could get him discomfited or even deposited on the floor - and Kiko did go hard on Frampton acquitting himself very nicely - so this wasn't a totally unexpected turn of events, but it was still impressive.

It was a real beating that Johnaton took, He was so on the defensive from
the get go, the outcome was inevitable. All praise to Martinez, because HBO
was talking like it should be a showcase fight for Romero. And he got
    trampled.

Yeah, that is always fun when they eat their words (or tone, if they don't actually come out and say what they are obviously thinking)

    ...cookie crumbles. :conf

I saw that he ended the retirement he announced in the wake of Quigg II, apparently he is looking to make another go. Maybe he is thinking along the same lines as you, spurred on by the success of guys he beat.

He looked to have lost a bit too much to really bother with banging on anymore, but hey - it's his business.

Agreed. The Binman had a great career (especially for a relatively late start and slim amateur experience), world title or no. He should hang 'em up with pride.

a lot of people were writing Kiko off before the fight, so they got a shock.

Kiko brings it non stop, so you better be prepared for it.

    great performance. great win.
