Mike Tyson, Edwin Valero, Floyd Mayweather, Carlos Monzon, and so many others weren't exactly angels/perfect role models. That doesn't erase what they could do inside the ring. Same logic applies to Ward.

As bitter as people are about Ward he is very, very good. Though i wish he wasn't known as Son of God, as that conflicts with my tendency to dislike stupid people.

I think Bute is the only one in the weight range who has a (punchers) chance against Ward. I wouldn't go too heavy on the congratulations for Ward fighting Bika though, Bika has hardly done anything of late and you would really expect Ward to beat his arse, though its not a bad name to have on a young fighters resume.

He's a black fighter in a historically white division, but so he's gonna get alot of hate. He beat great Euro hype in Kessler down so he's not gonna be liked when he continues to mop up the division.


But I dont see anyone beating him. He has that "IT" factor that you cant teach. A mentality where he doesnt want to lose. And will beat the **** out of you face to face if he has to.

 

Historically white? RJJ, Toney, Nunn, Benn, Eubank made this division. The US just hasn't had a decent contestant in awhile.
