Ward's father was white. He is just as white as he is Black. Not to mention he is very well spoken and nice guy outside the ring, so i really doubt any of the hate comes from racism. The reason he gets hate is the same reason why every other good fighter gets hate...thats just the way it is. When you are good, there are people who are going to be jealous, or dislike you because you steal the shine from their favorite fighter. Carl Froch, Kelly Pavlik, and Joe Calzaghe take more **** then anybody, and I am 100% sure it is not because Whitey is out to get them.
Ward is a MEEEEEAAAAN Mofo... I heard he makes his wife wash all of his dirty underwear while he's at the dentist practicing that perfect smile with those perfectly white teeth of his.. Bad mothafooker
You are completely missing my point. If you truly think Andre Ward thinks all that **** you pointed out is moral or ok, you are just being a close minded bigot. He was born into a Christian family and indoctrinated his entire life. While some are able to overcome this, he clearly doesn't have the intelligence level to question it. It happens. Unfortunately some people aren't blessed with brains, some aren't blessed with the brawn. In this sense, I don't hold it against him that he's Christian. In essence, his faith is as much genetic as his skin color is. You may disagree, but the odds a person like him grew up to be anything but a God fearing Christian are pretty slim. Now I don't know about you, but I certainly wouldn't want to be held accountable for every atrocity committed by white males over the course of history. I mean, I guess I could denounce everything that is white and male, go the way of my father and turn transexual, but thats just not me. :hi: I'd also wager I know a hell of a lot more about world affairs than you, or at least am able to comprehend them a bit more logically. Where you failed here was in reading comprehension. I was saying that all of those things you listed as hallmarks of religious oppression, are facets of human nature. ****, pedophilia, genocide, bigotry and all the other worst aspects of human nature are present regardless of what religion people are, or if they have none at all.
Come on bro, he had a broken hand at the end of the super 6 and than Bute got demolished by Froch. I just can't see that as a duck.
How do you figure he ducked him than? Ward had a broken hand while Froch and Bute signed to fight. Im not following you man.
The broken hand isn't the reason he didn't fight Bute though. I'm a huge Ward fan but the whole "he need's to fight somebody" thing was kinda wierd. I made a point about the broken hand in another thread. My stance is that since his hand was broken, he wouldn't have been able to fight Bute until recently. In which case Bute probably wouldve fought Froch anyway. I can't see Bute waiting on ice that long or taking on a lesser fighter. So there's a huge possibility that Ward could be sitting on his hands without a fight (and maybe even being accused of ducking Dawson). Why would Bute want to fight Ward after getting dismantled by the guy Ward just beat? My point is, his situation is far better now than it would've been if he chose to fight Bute at the time. The only way it could be better is if he would've fought Dawson at 175.
You talk about bias, but you make excuses for Bute fighting at home while you say Ward should fight somewhere else?? Really? gtfoh
Correct me if I'm wrong (and I very well may be) but was the whole "he needs to fight somebody" while his hand was broken? If not than he was tied up with the S6. I just can't see a duck no matter how I look at it. Had he not broke his hand and not fought him I guess a case could be made, but even that's difficult when you take on a better fighter in Dawson.
How was Daswon better. What had he done at 168? He got beat up by Johnson a division higher (a guy Bute shut out)
Dawson called for 168 and got it. He was also a top 10 p4p fighter. That's irrelevant though, Ward couldn't have ducked Bute being tied up with the super 6 and having Bute sign to fight Froch while Wards hand was still broken. That just makes no sense whatsoever.
I can't wrap my head around that either. Even at 168 the idea of fighting Dawson is better than fighting Bute. But that's all hindsight. My point is that the fight wouldn't have happened yet anyway.
