How on earth did the Haye v Maccarinelli fight become a significant CW showdown??Maccarinelli is and has always been an also-ran, a B-level fighter, at best.
Well ocelot, I think that the cruiserweights were suffering from a fairly chronic lack of talent, and an all-UK title unification was too good to pass up! Macca was an adequate fighter, but could never really handle elite talent. Furthermore, I think he made a HUGE mistake in the way he trained for Afolabi, not even doing a round of sparring! It was that KO, more than anything, that drained Enzo. It looks like the end of the road for Big Mac, unless he opts to come back and become a gatekeeper of sorts. But I think he's made a few quid and it's time to go - before his speech does, at any rate!
