How "Bad" Is Edison Miranda Really?

he is not bad, that happens if you allways fight the best, you can't win. in my opinion he is a B+ fighter

 

He's a good fighter and is no doubt world class with his wins over an older Howard Eastman and Allen Green and some felt he beat Arthur Abraham in their first fight.

 

Who said anything about him being bad in the first place, the guy is a world class fighter, who gave arthur abraham his hardest ever fight first time round, and has only been beat by world champions. He gave ward a better fight than kessler, i think miranda can still be world champion

 

And he has the A+ power which makes him exciting.

I agree, good but not elite.

 

He's a top 20 SMW. Overrated power.

His losses don't look too bad on paper but, on the other hand, he doasn't have more than a couple of wins of any note at all.

 

But what's not to like. Damn near every fight he's ends up with one of them being KOed. He's a power puncher-brawler.

 

He's alright but nothing special, his power can't be denied and that's where it ends. I would put him in the same category as Clottey, good gatekeepers but nothing more.

Clottey? I'd give Clottey a good shout to beat Berto and MOsley. He beat Cotto, but got robbed.

I'd compare him more to Demarcus Corley. Who was competitive with a bunch of champions.

 

I think the better comparison would be Randall Bailey.

he seems to be getting his career back on track with his new trainer. if he could improve his defence then he could cause fighters problems with his power, but he's too easy to hit at the top level.

Corley, Clottey and Miranda all fall in the same category.

I had Cotto beating Clottey but can understand those that picked Clottey, it was a close fight. The cut from a headbutt, which I expected in my prediction MONTHS before the fight, is what made things more difficult for Cotto. Cotto has never been cut that bad so early before in his career and we all know Clottey uses his head INTENTIONALLY, he did it against Margarito, Corrales, Baldomir and will continue to do it all the way.

He has good skills and knows what he's doing but what makes him a gatekeeper is the inability to keep it up the full 12 due to stamina issues. The man had Cotto gone numerous times and he wouldn't throw obviously because he's tired. He HURT Cotto then he would be the one clinching because he's tired.

That kind of fighter is immediately gatekeeper material. In a big fight like that he shows **** poor stamina and desperate attempts to get a DQ from a fake leg injury?, gatekeeper.

 

Don't believe the ***** **** Miranda says about being "back on track", "new trainer" and all that nonsense. This guy is tomato can material at best with no chin, I would pick Taylor to rip his ass apart only to see Miranda claim his mother who abandoned him is the next excuse for his upcoming loss.

The guy is a disgrace with his excuses, I HATE watching losers like that.
