What is wrong with Fury’s record or “resume” ? I think that he was a good heavyweight champ. Where he ranks in history is debatable. My only criticism of him is that he never fought Anthony Joshua, but that ship has sailed. Fury is retried and he should stay retired. Comebacks inboxing usually ending painfully and badly.

It depends what you're looking for...

If it's evidence of an ATG and/or H2H nightmare, you won't find much of it.

The biggest problem is lack of consistency - where most careers would follow a bit of a bellcurve (start low, improve, plateau, decline, end low) Fury's would look more like a polygraph instead of a plateau - where a super honest person tells a couple of whoppers resulting in huge peaks and troughs).

Idk... The unwillingness to rematch Wlad is a big black mark.

The defence against Whyte was okay, though long overdue for the WBC belt (not Fury's fault), the Wilder defence was contractually unavoidable and the eventual attempt to unify against Usyk was stalled on for ages...

It's not quite the belt hostage taker that preceded it, but it's not a completely exemplary run either.

I think his resume looks worst compared to how good it could have been. But actually his 3 year layoff and ballooning should be counted as a bonus as those stories make boxing exciting, too.

A (very) different version of the ali break.

It was a waste really. The first half of his career he was a hungry fighter, willing (for the most part) to fight frequently on the way to Klitschko. Then different appetites got in the way. A career that has (so far) too many names missing from it. It was one thing fighting Wilder three times, but Chisora III was a **** take that lost him a lot of good will. The less spoken about Ngannou the better

How can you say he was a good champ? He has 3 defences.. Wilder, Whyte and Chisora... thats it... yes not joking.. that is all he has.
