The cutsman's hand was always shaking and he was never able to stop the cut properly since it happened in round 3, which hampered Eubank Jr a lot, awful corner
Chris Sanigar is an excellent cornerman with tonnes of experience but yes your right,he didn’t deal with it.
Eubank would have done better with just Sanigar in his corner- as stated above he is very well respected and an excellent coach.
Look Jr is a arrogant punk that lost deal with it. Btw he also got dropped twice but the ref seemed to like Jr more so didn't count them as knock downs.
They are all amateurs but when he's charging in head first all the time, the cut will just pour open again. No brain.
To be fair it was a bad cut, and Eubank didn’t help by going Bull mode and running in head first into Groves chest and making the cut worse every round
Sanigar is a well respected corner man but has to be fired as a cut man. That was the worst cut job since Joe Chavez in the Linares DeMarco fight. He was like a dear frozen in the headlights unable to commit to holding pressure on the cut for as long as he could. Like someone said in one rd his hand was hovering above the cut and shaking for like 10 seconds before he actually applied the cotton swab. Most of the time he just stuck it on the cut without applying pressure. At one stage he wiped the cut about 5 times before he got around to applying the adrenalin. Sanigar was a big time bleeder throughout his career. You would think that would give a good grounding in how to treat cuts. The bleeding had an effect on Jr and caused him to be more desperate with his wild attack. I'm not saying it caused him to lose the fight but it did have some effect on his performance.
The ref was allowing more Vaseline on that cut than I've ever seen before. The ref was poor throughout warning Groves for **** all.
Cut was bad, but swab stick applied with pressure for full time in the corner, just prior to grease application should have been the way. Sanigar is a good coach but cutsman par excellence he obviously isn't
Sanigar looked like he is suffereing from Parkinsons, he was shaking badly, and could not get near the cut.
Yeah not a bad shout he has been shaky and speaks very oddly for a while. Something doesn't seem right there but I really like him. Spoke really well at the Selby v Warrington press conference.
Yeah I like the guy too, not seen him for a while, did not like the way he was shaking though. excellent person and trainer. loved it in the 90's when he had a great stable of boxers
