I forgot that it was a SD at all. I remember Pac teeing off on a hippie version of Ice-T but watching some unbiased highlights it was a fair call. This content is protected
It was a close fight but the knockdown sealed the deal obviously. All these thurman haters just remember the 1st round, they don't remember when thurman had pac hurt multiple times and had pac against the ropes unloaded bombs on him.
Pac clearly won the fight to my eye, but I have zero issue with one judge scoring for Thurman. It briefly surprised me, but no scandal.
I’d have to rewatch and look for rounds I could give Thurman. I know it was a close fight, but from what I remember it was also clear. Not sure you could have Thurman winning without a robbery of some round(s).
I scored it 114-113 for Thurman. It wasn't a travesty at all. I said somewhere, I could see between 5-8 rounds for Pac or Thurman. There were a lot of close rounds.
The feat of winning the fight has overshadowed the fact that it was a razor close fight. If Thurman's stock had been higher at the time people would be clamoring for a rematch.
I had it 8-4ish Pacquiao thought while Thurman did decently late Manny dominated for the most part. The first 3/4ths of the fight was all Manny. Honestly for me Thurman is way overrated and a big argument can be made he lost to Garcia and Porter as well
