all this time this dude thought he deserved his shot at floyd he pulled out of the alexander fight and only fought once last year (that a poor showing), i doubt golden boy would get him the pacquiao fight. I could honestly see khan sitting back and waiting for floyd. The ppl around him know they can't afford another loss with this guy.

    i think he already knows.

look, 3 names were floated: khan, maidana, pac.

maidana isnt fighting floyd now or showtime risks alienating broner who has come out and say he is fighting no one but maidana.

which is commendable. like pac offering the guy who kod him 3x money.

    pac. :D

    who is left?

i think floyd-khan is already made. floyd is just waiting for tr to announce first bec they have an earlier date.

It will actually look very bad. Khan has been inactive all this time hoping for the big payday to come. If it doesn't then he's forced to fight someone else and risk losing the big payday for good.

You are grossly overestimating Broner's influence. He's going to fight whomever Haymon tells him to fight. Sure, he's still a draw after the loss, but he simply doesn't have(nor will he ever have) enough leverage to push around a giant like CBS/Showtime. If he can somehow avenge the loss to Maidana(unlikely) and string together a few high profile wins then maybe, but until then he's just another loud mouth...

If it is Khan , then I dont want to hear another word out of a *****'s mouth about Floyd wanting to fight the best.

Cotto aside this would mean Floyd has fought easily the poorest sets of fighters a superstar of his talents has ever fought.

cotto is done at elite level. he was fed bums to somewhat look good. where is foreman, where is margo now?

he needed the help of a doctor to stop one-eyed margo.

But he still gave Floyd a beating through the middle rounds.

Floyd vs Khan is a joke and an insult to the sport.

that tells alot about floyd than cotto.

remember floyd is fighting the levels of berto the last few fights.

he just drained a guy who beat a guy that beat the guy who is done at elite level.:deal

Whilst anyone with eyes could see that Cotto didn't give Floyd any kind of beating at all in any round I definitely agree that the Khan fight, should it happen, is a joke and should never be made.

Pac fought Cotto's boiled down bones at a catchweight and Cotto was competitive until the middle rounds. Floyd fought Cotto going up in weight at 154lb and off the back of several impressive victories including a stoppage of Margarito. Hardly a shell.

You need to watch the fight again then my friend, Cotto bloodied and beat Floyd to the body pretty hard.

Also Cotto wasnt boiled down when he fought pacquioa, he was never a big welter in the first place. He weighed 146 against Clottey in his previous fight.

Cotto fighting Floyd was easily Floyds hardest fight to date and one where he was bloodied by a fighter 2 / 3 years past his prime.

Look at the Trout fight , a pretty average fighter who beat Cotto better than Floyd did.

It's free publicity for Khan. He has lost 2 of his past 4 fights - one via KO and his last fight he just scraped in a win, after all this he is getting mentioned in association with the biggest fighter in the game... It's free publicity for Khan.
