Where would you rank this undisputed fight historically? Both are undefeated and both are the clear division stand outs.. When was the last time a fight as big as this happened at HW.. & where would you rank the winner in terms of all-time great standings?

I would say its arguably the biggest Heavyweight fight since Lewis vs Tyson, even though Tyson was shot at the time.

As for were i'd rank the winners ?

If Fury wins i think hes got a good claim to being rated in the bottom half of top 10 Heavyweights of all time.

If Usyk wins ? He wouldn't be top 10 Heavyweight yet, as he hasn't had enough fights at Heavyweight but P4P ? He would be rated very highly. I'm not sure where exactly but easily inside the top 50 of all time.

Lewis and Tyson was only important for Lennox Lewis and no one else.. Everyone knew the result before the fight was signed as Tyson was completely shot at that point..

Yes i agree which is why i pointed out Tyson was shot, but you'd be surprised that quite a few people still thought Tyson had a decent chance. Because Lewis had been KO'ed recently by Rahman, and some thought Tyson might have a chance because of his power.

But if your on about pick em big Heavyweight fights then maybe Holyfield vs Lewis 1 ?

I think it would be the biggest heavyweight fight since Mike Tyson and Michael Spinks. While the fight itself was anticlimactic, the importance of the fight was a really big deal. The undefeated, popular, Olympic gold medal-winning lineal champ against the undefeated "baddest man on the planet" who was the legitimate holder of all of the championship belts was a fight not to be missed. I feel the same way about Fury against Usyk.

Massive. We finally see how good both fighters are. Its either going to be a banger or a snore fest.

Agreed. Also if Fury gets any fatter then he will probably need a 10 minute nap by round 6!

There was a hypetrain behind Tyson that I couldn't understand at the time. A lot of people gave him a decent chance of getting Lewis out of there early.

Un, I seem to recall a certain fight in the Summer of '97 getting a lot of attention. One of the participants got himself disqualified rather than getting inevitably knocked out in the 4th. That was a pretty big fight.

Historically no one in 25 years will give a jot about it!! We are hardly talking Thriller in Manilla or Rumble in the Jungle here.....more like a Jobby in Saudi
