I'm bored of the usual Wlad-Haye threads so I thought I'd start my own. Apologies if there is a similar one. My own view is that this would easily surpass Douglas-Tyson as we know Tyson's idea of training at the time was banging several Japanese ladies in succession (even though at the time it was a massive upset), BUT Wlad hasn't got a granite chin so maybe Chisora getting a lucky punch isn't such a long shot. That said, Chisora is as green a fighter as I can remember getting a serious title shot at any weight so it would have to rank up there in the top heavyweight upsets somewhere. Thoughts?
If you asked the average american sports fan about it after it happened, the response would be "Who did what now?"
It would be a huge upset, maybe even bigger than Douglas & Tyson. Douglas was actually a very good boxer when he got his stuff together, fantastic jab, good movement and that upper cut...wow. Chisora has only fought at domestic level, no reaL amatuer record....no chance in theory, but you never know.
would defo be classed as an upset, but not a huge one, and it would be almost pathetic to compare it to douglas-tyson. tyson was 37-0, and reigning undisputed, undefeated champion, who had pretty much cleared house of all the noteable heavyweights in the division at the time. wlad has been KTFO three times before, and badly.....so not like we havent seen him lose before.
biggest heavyweight upset ever, well,if sh*T boxers havent already shown how easy it is to stop wlad already. but chisora has nothing special power wise. not enough experience. not enough speed or footwork. not enough height or reach.
