How BIG {Height and Weight}, do you think you have to be in the HW Division in this Era to knock off the Klitschkos and dominate ? Two answers: (1) The minimum and (2) What you would prefer as the "safe" bet (for height and weight). To make it interesting, and I'll make it easy; give me the minimum you would have to be if you are one those rare talents that come along: A Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, and Mike Tyson type. So if you were to stretch them out (in either height or weight or both). And you can use them as your starter fighter. For example: How big would Tyson have to be today? 6'1, 225 ? maybe more? And you can give them those rare abilities with it: Power, Speed, Agility, Chin...and of course you are technically sound...but more so for the minimum fighter in answer (1). If you want to make the era harder, that's preferred. So let's put in talents like Peak Lennox Lewis and Peak Bowe. Anyone that wants to take it a step further, for detail, you can just give me the Tale of the Tape.
You can't predict how a fighter would be if something was different boxing doesn't work like that I don't think this discussion leads to anything useful
What do you mean? As far as Height/Weight and the transfer of physical ability? If so, I'm saying in this case it would transfer if we stretched the fighters I gave you out, Height and/or Weight. Like the equivalent to a bigger version of Tyson would be, maybe, Bo Jackson at 6'1, 225+...or someone else in the NFL today. Ali...many athletic freaks at 6'3, 220+ in the NFL that have incredible speed and strength. Joe Louis...the same...many athletes are bigger, height and weight, and exceptional athletic wise. So, I'm saying how big do you have to be to compete with some of the Super-HWs of the 90's-2000's like Bowe, Lewis, and the Klitschkos. Not only compete, but come out on top if you had all the technical talent and mental ability as well to go along with it. Two answers: the minimum for the first answer and the second answer would be the preferred. The minumum specifcally I'm making it easier by making him a phenom talent so he has all those attributes, Power, Speed, Agility, Chin...which you can leave all in or take some out. Think of it like a Video Game where you are creating your boxer and you can toy with the attributes. So basically, the 185 pound HWs of yesterday aren't going to hack it against some of these Super-HWs. Let me know if I read that wrong.
Close to 6'6 and about 240 pounds I think. Its been going on for some time with Bowe, Lewis, Klitschkos and many of the top prospects are close to that size. Just to be in the division a heavyweight could be much smaller of course, but I don't think we will see a smaller heavyweight dominate for a long time.
