No. Naz and Calzaghe were his biggest fighters. But he is still one of the big boys - Especially in the UK.
He's still the biggest British promoter but he has issues at the moment. The dedicated boxing TV channel he partly owns hasn't attracted that many subscribers, he's in debt and he hasn't been able to pay all of his boxers. He's probably banking on the Haye/Chisora fight being a success because that is, by far, the biggest fight he has on the horizon. He's a good promoter who just needs to test his fighters more.
Used to be the biggest in Britain by quite a long way...now he's probably still the biggest in Britain but only just
Like Jack says,he's the #1 in Britain by a long way,but you have to think a bit more proportionally when trying to compare him to TR and GBP. And things will never be the same for him here after Haye/Chisora.He's on a major collision course with the BBBofC after a fairly long and fruitful relationship in the past.
The fact that Frank put together Haye/Chisora proves how good he is. Frank also owns a TV channel. Big names in Frank's stable: Denis Lebedev Dereck Chisora Nathan Cleverly Ricky Burns Kevin Mitchell John Murray James DeGale George Groves Frankie Gavin Tony Bellew Billy Joe-Saunders Plus many other top prospects and contenders. Frank is still the man to beat in the UK.
He had Benn, Eubank, Calzaghe, Hatton at some point so he's done well, just that I do not get it why is he putting his license at risk to defend Chisora??? Anyway, he just missed Lennox Lewis who came to the hands of Frank Maloney and he had some trouble with Barry Hearn.
I wouldn't say he was THAT far ahead of Hearn any more TBH especially not in terms of his ability to actually promote.
Sign with Frank and you dont even have to fight for a title. He will just simply hand the WBO belt to you.
