In terms of a worldwide boxing event?

    Is it bigger than:

    Frazier v Ali I
    ODLH v Trinidad
    Foreman v Ali
    Lewis v Tyson
    PBF v ODLH
    Hatton v PBF
    Hagler v Hearns
    Leonard v Duran I
    Hagler v Leonard

Just how big is this fight in your opinion?

It would be one of the biggest fight ever. I remember the hype for delahoya-mayweather.. this fight would be bigger. The mike tyson-evander holyfield was big. I think this will be even bigger.

I would go as far as this will be the SUPERBOWL of BOXING. :good Everybody will tune in for this fight fo sho.:good

As far as all-time greatness and significance is concerned, it's right up there with the best of them... but it terms of fan appeal boxing just isn't the same sport it was before so it won't sell and attract as big as something like Ali- Frazier I or other big name fights you can mention.

    Agree completely

Ali v Frazier I & Foreman v Ali are in a different league.

On par with PBF v ODLH perhaps?

Defo not bigger than any of those 90's/80's, IMO.
    (On par w/Hatton v PBF)

It would be bigger than oscar-floyd. I mean this is the 2 best fighter today #1 and # 2 P4P. It would be the fight everyone will be waiting for next year.

Oh it's definitely bigger than PBF - Hatton. Casual fans actually know who Pac is because of his recent wins... nobody had a clue who Ricky Hatton was.

Other than about 30 million Brits at home and another 25,000 that flew to Vegas to watch it live

Ask the average Brit who Ricky hatton is and the likelyhood they'll know is about 1 to 5. While Pac on the other hand is quickly becoming a mega star even here in The US. Pac's recent popularity is what will elevate this fight to the huge numbers it will sell and it will no doubt surpass PBF - Hatton by huge strides.

I agree that it'll surpass PBF v Hatton overall and definately in the US. But its wrong to say that no one knew who Hatton was. In Britain I would say as much as half the population have heard of Hatton. Maybe 1 in 10000 know who PBF and Pac are in Britain.

Not even Cotto v Pac was on PPV

Why ask if it's bigger than Ali-Frazier I? That's just a stupid question.

Id say 4/5 knows who hatton is, 3/5 know who Pac is. Every guy ive spoken to know them really...im sure there are some who lives under a rock who hasnt heard of them. This is for the men population, my gf knows them both but only cos I talk about them, she wouldnt otherwise.

At their point in there career, this is as big as any fight ever made. Even SRL-Duran, at the time they fought they werent ATG's yet...this is 2 current ATG's, p4p #1's in their prime.

It will never be as "popular" as many of the older fights where boxing was mainstream...silly comparison.
