VITLAYS arms look a bit puny in your avatar, has he been laying off the roids :huh I'll probably watch the fight, can't say I'm excited by it though as I suspect it won't be a classic.
And I suspect Vitlai winning might not make it a classic in your eyes. However if Peter wins, it will be a classic. Regardless of who your rooting for, boxing fans have this night.
Believe it or not, I really don't care that much who wins. The only reason I'd lean towards Peter is that we would then have a unification fight on the horizon whereas if VITLAY wins the division stays split because he (rightly) won't fight his brother. The reason I don't think it will be a classic has nothing to do with who wins, you said that not me.
The intrigue of finding out what Vitali has left after 4 years out of the ring combined with the fact that he's facing a big puncher like Sam Peter makes it a very interesting fight. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
Im very interested, its not like I can't wait like with the Wlad-Peter fight, but Im looking forward to it.
i voted for the ruiz one as a joke BUT ..i'll be intrested when the men get into the ring ... i'm not getting my hopes worked up untill then though
I think this fight will end in a stoppage. We have two big strong men in the ring, ready to go. Fights between big time punchers are seldom boring. The only way this fight is boring is if Vitlai easily out classes and out boxes Peter without risking much. I digress, don't be so sure Peter if will re-match Wlad if he wins. Wlad has Povetkin next. Then perhaps a mandatory. If Peter wins, his management might pick a cheesy title defense ( and he would have earned it ), then be forced to fight a WBC mandatory in his next match. Or if Vitlai wins, he might fight Valuev next. As for Wlad and Vitlai never fighting each other, they might offer a four round exhibition match for charity one day.
I think it'll be an amazing attempt by Vitali, and should be an awesome spectacle of punching power, solid chins, and strength. Really looking forward to it, to say the least. Given what each fighter brings, I think Vitali Peter is one of the better matchups that can possibly be be made at heavy, and its less than 4 weeks away.
I'm a fan of both fighters but must admit that if Vitali wins it will only complicate things more as he already admitted he might not stay after his next fight, whether he win or loses, just trying to accomplish a dream both him and his brother planned. Even if he stays it will ruin Wladimir's unification attempt. Peter winning will set-up a MAJOR fight with Wladimir soon.
