I'll be very interested if the ****ing fight actually happens! I'm very curious to see how Vitali will perform after such a long layoff. I was never a huge fan, but I do think he would've been the dominant heavyweight had he not been so injury-prone.

me too. but the closer we get, the more excited i get cause vitali hasn't gotten ko'ed by training camp yet.

this is gonna be an awesome fight. Vitali always brings the pain and even if peter comes in around 260 he will fight with aggression and heart. could be a wild slugfest like Vitali-Sanders. I kind of see that kind of fight unfolding. Peter will have brief moments but Vitali is just in another class. Peter's aggression will be his biggest mistake methinks. I reckon Vitali stops him in 9. I don't see a blowout like the Kirk Johhnson fight. Peter has too much heart and desire.

Kudos to Showtime for giving us this along with Tarver-Dawson the same night.

I do not want to put the cart before the horse, but there is no way Vitlai plans to retire if he defeats Peter. Vitlai says he misses boxing. Has any champion come back with a win, then retired again?

If you want the straight dope, I think Vitlai will give Lewis one more chance for a re-match. While I think Lewis is retired for good, he might accept a re-match Vitlai wins, but looks bad in the process.

If Lewis does not come back, Vitlai will fight either Valuev OR the winner of Virchs vs Gomez for big bucks in Germany.

In closing, I do not think Vitlai will fight a lot more, but if he beats Peter, I do think we will see him again.

A 4 round exhibition match is not a fight. I wouldn't want to see 2 brothers fighting, I'm averse to that kind of **** regardless of whether I like them or not.

As for the fight ending in stoppage...well if it does I suspect it'll be VITLAY doing the stopping but if I were to bet on this fight I'd bet on a close points win for either of them, not sure who. 5 years ago VITLAY would have stopped the guy but I'm not so sure now.

Yes, regardless of what he says, now, you know he'll fight again once he has his title again. He and his brother's plan was to hold all of the titles between them, not merely both have titles at the same time. Him merely getting a title won't complete their big dream/plan they've had for all these years...They need to get that last title, as well......the WBA.

I see Vitali maybe facing a mandatory after Peter, then doing his best to get a fair deal with Valuev to unite the WBC and WBA titles.........but getting King to offer a fair deal, without unfair options will be next to impossible, as King knows Valuev probably can't beat Vitali.

But I agree, Vitali will, more than likely, fight on with further unifying his main/sole proirity.........:good

I cant wait, the last time I was this pumped up about fight was when Brewster fought Wlad in July of last year, thats hope this fight is more exciting. I think the winner of this fight maay be viewed as best Heavyweight in the world by the general public, especially if Vitali is the winner, which I doubt.

maybe if vitali just destroys peter in 2 or 3 rounds, a claim can be made for #1. Still it's weak imo. Wlad has done too much solid work over the past three years to be displaced without losing. Peter must beat Wlad to have any legit claim to #1 even if he beats Vitali.

But u bring up an interesting point. If Vitali beats Peter, does RIng make him champ again since he retired as "Ring Champ"? Or will Peter be champ if he beats the last Ring champ even if Wlad is the undisputed #1 guy? Interesting

Even as a notorious Klitschko hatter I have to disagree. If Peter wins this fight how the hell can he be considered to be the best out there when he's lost to WALDO in the past?

If VITLAY KO's Peter in brutal style then yes he could be considered the best as he would have dealt with Peter better than WALDO did (and it would be a better version of Peter too) but if Peter wins he still has another fight to go to truly prove he's the best, in my opinion.

The fight is a little over 3 weeks away, so Vitali has a couple of weeks of hard training left. Does someone (like Suge maybe) have a list of the previous times Vitali had to pull out, and how close to the fight date the pull-out was?

What's the closest-to-the-fight that he's ever pulled out with an injury? The previous fight scheduled against Peter was cancelled less than two weeks before the fight right?

I'm just curious about the odds given that Vitali has made it this far, but I want him to get through camp and give a good showing in the fight.

Not much really . . . like I said . . . I'm more on the lower classes now . . . it's just that I'm curious how Vitali would perform after almost four years of inactivity . . . just to see if he can still be considered a major player in the division . . . other than that . . . nothing more.
