In terms of impact for Green's career it's HUGE.
Will prob take more to convince the knowledgeable fight aficionado's.

But it's a hell of a start, A KO of an ATG.

About 95% of posters on here said this would be a walk in the park for roy. I told everyone to not underestimate green as he is clearly a different fighter than at 168. He was too aggressive and powerful for roy, and i knew he would be. A first rd KO i didn't see. And the so called rabbit punch landedright under the jaw to the side of the head. The same place
Glencoffe landed on roy. I didn't hear anyone cry foul there. Great win for the green machine, and now hopkins needs to fight green.

the win will open him doors.. I mean he beat one of the most famous names in boxing, good opportunity to get to the big money fights...

Just from a sportsman point of view the win is pretty meaningless.. I mean RJJ is even more shot than JFK..

The best win of his career, whatever that implies.

Defeating Tyson bought Danny Williams a severe beating at the hands of an elite opponent; it bought McBride nothing.

Green is a small CW, Ademak or Cunningham would kill him though he'd have a shot at the other top guys so it does open that door for him. If his plan is to fight for 2+ years, he should pick his next one carefully - thinking this makes him a top-5 CW could be dangerous.

Wait for Hopkins to fight Green to prove he would have flattened RJJ!

It is a good fight to set up other fights to see if his power is for real or if Roy's chin is just very weak. That punch was an odd punch. I have not seen a punch like that land and cause that response in exactly that way. It hit almost the back of his head near the neck, which would shock the brain but it is a different scenario than I have ever seen.

It was a punch to the back of the neck while twisted, but it was Roys fault as he turned away during the punch. This means, nothing of the Roy of old was present anymore, no speed, no power, no reflexes, even the most basic moves like a shoulder roll were not in his mind anymore.

How about a fight with new CW title holder zsolt erdei. Erdei and green are both lightheavy's, but green has more power. Green will likely campaign at lightheavy or any weight with hopkins.
