I don't think he will lose many Phillipino fans, but you won't see many people posting about him on the forums though :p

It will be a downer, for sure. But not a really big blow to us.

We've experienced it before, (when he became a big name already) when he fought Morales the first time, and when he drew with Marquez.

It will be a slightly less joyous holiday season. No extra bounce in the step, no extra overflowing national pride, but we can cope.

He lost to Morales few years ago. His support got stronger. It'll be sad the first few days, but people have much more things to do than sulk about it.

It will be a big downer no doubt especially in the short term. But Pac has already awakened the country and has inspired the youths to take up boxing. No sports figure has had the impact of Pac for pinoys on the international stage.

Pac might not win Saturday night but I cant wait to see Marvelous Marvin Sonsona the following week at Casino Rama hoping to partially fill the void that a Pac loss might create.

it wouldn't matter at all they'd still love and admire how he represents them, not every country is like America.

    Jokes are sometimes half meant.

Yeah, you dont believe everyone here will kill themselves, but it was an indirect way of saying we think he's superhuman and god-like and our world will collapse if he loses.

He's just the most popular athlete we have, and the country's great sports ambassador to the world.
