How big of an Impact will a Pacquiao loss have on the Philippines?

i think there's a wrong impression here at esb on how pac is treated in the philippines. non-filos thought that pac was regarded here in the philippines as god or something like that which is not true. sure he is the biggest sportsman atm, but aside from that he's not that big. hell, he even lost (to a girl) when he ran for congress in his hometown, his movies were not blockbusters and his album didn't even reach gold label. :deal

but one thing is certain, in every of his fights, the Philippines is supporting him:good

some people still eat dog here (but very rare these days) but not as a "way of survival/to relieve hunger". it is more of a delicacy to them, they like to eat it while they drink beer. personally i don't know how it tastes because i haven't tried it (our family have a pet dog, so there's no chance in hell that i would even consider trying it).

but to be fair, she's not just a girl. she's a well-respected congresswoman there and her track record is good. i think pac could've won if she was not his competition at that time.:good
