i don't think he's that big of an underdog at all,he has the experience at 140,height advantage(not much),naturally bigger guy and to me it seems more people are picking him to win by ko.so should he be considered the underdog?
Quite true. But I still fully expect Hatton to pummel Pacman from one side of the ring to the other and force a stoppage around 8th. If i'm wrong, well it's certainly not the first time But the closer the fight gets the more confident I am in Hatton.
I am fairly confident of it. But I will not be shocked to find that Hatton gets beaten by Pacman, who'll probably deliver the "defining" performace of his career, which I feel he'll have to do, to beat Hatton.
In my mind I would put Hatton as a 4-1 underdog. Maybe even 5-1. I like Ricky. Great person and fighter, but Pacman is such a great southpaw and has fast hands. Ricky is going to have to earn his win. I honestly think Ricky has to come out smoking. He has to do what Hagler did against Hearns. Come out wild and try to force the fight, because at a slow rate Pacman picks apart Hatton easily. That is why Hagler came out fast, he knew Hearns at a slower pace would bust him up with the jab and land the right.
Hatton is still the underdog in the UK, I went to william hill bookies, they only had odds for straight wins but Hatton was 6/4 & Pac was 1/2. I asked the girl to phone up for odds of Hatton on pts & she told me 9/2 so I placed a small bet.
Hatton is the underdog in every category. Maybe power he has the advantage, but he has to hit him to do that, and that means Hatton has to be very aggressive and take a chance. Pacman has the southpaw stance going for him, hand speed, defense , sharp punching/accuracy everything. Hatton is going to have to force the issue and fight him and almost try a Hagler kind of aggression like Marvin did with Hearns. And Marvin might be the only guy who can do something like that. You really think that Pacman not being a natural 140 pounder makes this a close fight? I like Ricky, but I think he is fighting a very great exceptional fighter.
