    It's Gonna be big.

Gomez is gonna be reborn if he accomplishes that considering he has already 3 loses. Beating a guy who has beaten Mosley, Quintana, Malignaggi and Zab Judah is a big pride and accomplishment.

never say never -- they are fighting and anything can happen in a fight.

The chances of that happening are slim but I wouldn't be surprised at all. Gomez has went at it with fighters who are fighting from 147-168 and i'm pretty sure he's had some intense sparring with some lightheavy's.

It wouldn't be on the level of Ali v Spinks

Though I don't think it's a probable upset it is a possible one. It would be a greater upset than if DLH beat PBF in the rematch only because so much of boxing fans hopes rests on the shoulders of Cotto and of Cotto's future. Except for diehard PBF fans a lot of us don't think Floyd will ever give us the fights we want to see. But Cotto is a different animal. We want him to win because he will give us great fights time and again. Even if Cotto fought DLH it would be a much better fight than DLH/Floyd. Though I really like Gomez and don't want any more losses on his resume until he is true champ material it will be a very sad day if Cotto were defeated.

To be honest Gomez is too slow to bang with Cotto for 12 rounds. I don't see him making it competetive, but hey anything can happen.

He'll have to hope to land a nice punch and possibly keep the pressure on. I tell you guys this though, I wouldn't be surprised if Gomez won. He fights well on the inside and if the fight is held on the inside and it become a war of wills then we shall see.

I don't see Gomez backing up from Cotto though ... I don't see Cotto stalking him -- I don't see Gomez packing a big punch though. I don't know about Cotto's chin either but ...hmmm

It will have the same if not a bigger impact than Judah's loss to Baldomir...
