Possibly the biggest upset this decade, and Gomez is not a bad fighter.

It would be huge. Cotto would have to retire if he lost to Gomez, especially by KO.

I am not sold on Cotto. Gomez has a real good shot at an upset. To beat Cotto, you have to be very strong, confident and possess good skills. Gomez has those qualities. This is going to be a real good one!

If Gomez wins, it'd have to be by KO/TKO.

Cotto still has a somewhat shaky set of whiskers, having been rocked quite a few times. I don't think Gomez has the power to dent him, but he's got the style to make it interesting.

Gomez beating Cotto would be an absolutely MASSIVE upset. But Gomez likely gets crushed.

Let's just say that if Cotto looks shaky and hits the canvas or it's a close decision Arum may seriously reconsider putting him against the winner of Margo/Cintron or even Mayweather for that matter.

well gomez is one of th efew fighters who will wiegh heavier than cotto on fight night.
this will be a big difference.

judah wieghed 150 on fight night
    mosley was around 147-149

gomez comes in aroudn 155 even came in at 160 on th enight.
cotto is very similar coming in at middlewieght against corley i believe.

gomez even though not noted for a huge puncher he can bang. and has had some great knokcouts on the way. his left hook is dangerous but his right hand is what i think will get him the W. i would want him to engage with cotto than take a step back then launche a 1-2 down the pipe down cotto's peek-a-boo guard.

First word I thought of. Not quite Douglas-Tyson, certainly, but in the ballpark.

It would easily be the upset of the year. It would SHOCK the boxing world as well. No doubt Mayweather would all of a sudden JUMP at a unification bout haha.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$wise it would be huge. The whole division would be way less marketable.....and don't kid yourselves, Floyd would be pissed.

I wouldnt go that far. To me, its a club fighter vs. the next big thing. It would be a big upset, but id say Gomez is a live underdog.

i think floyd would be happy, and it would make a matchup between the two more likely.

probably similar to waldo-sanders. wlad was seen as the heir to lennox and instead sanders had him flopping around on the canvas like a fish. :D

it would shake up boxing for sure
