I agree. Everyone seems to say there is no competition for Sergio except the big money fights with Floyd or Manny. Not too long ago King Arthur was the middle weight force. It is just unfortunate that he fought a few of the best fighters and lost. But he should still be a viable opponent for an attractive match up with either Martinez or Chavez JR. Hell, a lot more sense than Manfredo.

    Chavez 120-108

No way Abraham's stationary ass beats Chavez.

Good fight though, it would be interesting to see how Chavez handles power.

AA puts Chavez to sleep. People act like AA is some joke. He's just been fighting at 168 and the best the world has to offer at that division. He would starch Chavez.

With the frequency that Chavez gets hit with, I think Abraham can KO him.

Top Rank would never throw Chavez in with Arthur Abraham. The kid doesn't compare to Dirrell, Froch, or Ward. He's a few steps below them. And a step below Abraham for that matter, as well. The fight would end with Chavez Jr lying unconscious on the canvas.

Does anyone know why Abraham moved up? If it is because of weight problems that is another plus for Chavez.

Chavez is too easy to hit. Arthur would win by crushing KO once he eventually lands on Jr

No, if I remember right, he moved up exclusively to participate in the S6 tourney

That could actually be pretty interesting if Abraham is willing to travel. Chavez has a lot of edges there, and everyone knows Abraham's weaknesses by now (although I'm still surprised people couldn't see them before he lost - they were pretty glaring, and I've been saying for years that guys like Froch and Pavlik would have no trouble beating him), but honestly, I don't know if I've ever seen a high profile fighter with less ring smarts than Chavez Jr. Dude just has no clue in there half the time. Roach has helped a LOT, but it's taken a lot of time, and if someone can catch him off guard eventually, he'll be able to beat Chavez. Fortunately for Jr., Abraham isn't that guy - he has one style, and it worked for a while, and now that people know his gimmick he's not much more than a fringe contender. As long as a top 10-15 type fighter can apply smart pressure and not get KOed, they should be able to win.

They won't put him in with someone who stands a good chance of knocking him out. At least by putting him in with someone who isn't a KO artist, they can just give Chavez Jr a bull**** points victory.

I gotta disagree. Losing to Ward, Froch and Dirrell is no shame, especially when it's not in your best weight division.

I agree that a certain style will make look Abraham bad. More specifically, guys who can move on their feet, control distance and pot shot and get out of the way. But not everyone can do that. I don't see Chavez having the skills to do that. He's way too slow on his feet and doesn't have hand speed. I see AA being able to track Chavez down.
