I have a daughter in 8th grade and I often marvel at the web of rumors that circulate among them and how they keep them straight. Then I realized the model for understanding it is right here on my favorite boxing forum. Here someone finds where somebody said something somewhere, and argue about it for 15 pages without anything at all being confirmed or even checked in some cases. How many more threads are going to start and conclusions drawn based on rumors of someone saying something that really carries no weight in how things finally end up. Examples: How many different arguments have their been over Khan's next opponent because a different name got dropped here and there. Same thing with David Haye. How many "proofs" that weren't really proofs at all, have been argued about concerning Manny's drug use or Floyd's motivation for stricter testing. How many arguments have their been, again based on a quote found here or there, about who's fault it was that fighter A and fighter B never met. I realize my ranting about this will change nothing, and I don't expect it to and will continue to visit and enjoy the board. Just wanted to sum up my frustration and get them off my chest all at once.
We all are aware, and we don't care. It's fun to poke super fans with jabs at their favorite fighter.
James Toney is still the future of the HW division. He's just taking a break to get into shape for MMA, clean them out, and then come back and beat the Klits and Haye.
:smokeits because half of pac fans are 8 grade KIDS.why do you think he has so many FANS and cant BUST 1MIL.2.............atsch
Is it because most keyboard warriors have developing breasts? I read on the site that talks about boxing that Floyd's sporting new threads but Ellerbe says that he might not wear any trunks at all in his next fight. Is this all just a Gayweather negotiating tactic?
I agree with your post but only in regards to boxing FORUMS. Post counts, ego, and attention whoring really can kill discussions sometimes on them.
While your observations are true, there are people who troll because they are responding to a troll, for fun. They aren't being serious in their responses then. If you see their other posts you won't think they're not entirely another person. Incidentally part of why I like this forum is because of the relative lax on rules. This is the ONLY forum I frequent that tolerates trolling, spamming, baiting, flaming, cussing, etc. And I'm loving it lol. Learn to ignore posts you don't like. That's the key.
