What about the substantial number of animal species with appreciable populations of gay or bi***ual individuals (bonobos, giraffes, hyenas, sheep, penguins are well known examples). Are they just doing it for "attention" (and whose attention?!). Just because a behaviour doesn't directly result in children doesn't mean that it is "unnatural" or necessarily refutes evolutionary principals. Last research I saw on the subject suggested homo***uality was related to foetal testosterone levels (which, bizarrely, have a link with ratios of finger lengths). High foetal testosterone levels increased the chance of homo***uality - I wonder if that would suggest it's more likely in athletes ... would explain so much about locker room culture.
I specifically say that Holyfield shouldn't be condemned but that it is totally warranted to hold an opinion he chose to make public against him. How else do we judge people? People denying ***uality as a civil liberty is not an opinion, it is wrong. You could say that is my opinion, but it's not my opinion as I know it is a fact in the same manner that equality of race is a civil liberty. Anyone who thinks otherwise is barbaric to some degree.
