P4P takes into account career achievements and quality of wins as well. So just because you beat the man doesn't mean you become the man.

Yea good point. But surely that would be luck.

If someone beats the P4P number one and it isnt through luck surely they should become new P4P No. 1?

Im only asking cos i hear ppl say this alot and never got it

Okay it is worth more than a normal title il admit that. Its a little harder to exchange but i just think if you beat the best fighter in the world you are by reason the best fighter in the world

Because that's just 1 fighter you beat. It takes more than 1 elite scalp to be considered P4P. In the exception that you are the #2 fighter in the world, then you get the top slot (considering you're in the same division). If you're nowhere in the top 10, then you're most likely to get noticed now.

pound for pound means absolutely nothing. it is mythical and based solely on opinions not facts.

Someone has to be pound for pound number 1.

..Its like saying no ones the best its just an opinion.

Rather, its an opinion based on facts. There are constructive ways to come up with an answer, and most of the time, each one's opinion (majority) is similar to the others.

Its an imaginery title of an imaginery division where every fighter on the planet weighs the same and is the same height. From David Haye to Chris John.

Then, Who, is the champion? Floyd Mayweather.

i'm not even sure he's the best in his own weight class, never mind p4p. let him beat some welters, then we'll see
