How can American fans rate Tavoris Cloud, at this time in his career?

interesting. Dawsons chin seems to have some question marks to it in my opinion, but I have a feeling Clouds will be firmer. Id pick Cloud with his style to beat Dawson

He'll be better for the experience I think, it'll teach him that he cant stand idle against a live opponent and expect to win.

No worse than a lot of Zsolt Erdei's title defenses, FWIW. Zuniga's better than George Blades, Tito Mendoza or DeAndrey Abron.

Anyway, the book's still out on Cloud for me until he faces some more decent competition. I thought he actually looked good against Glen Johnson (he won a very clear 116-112 IMO, and he rocked Glen Johnson for the first time in his career). We can go back and forth on the merits of how good Johnson is, but at absolute worst he's a legitimate top 10 LHW. I'd like to see how he handles a good outside boxer though. I suspect he'd struggle a bit.

Actually your post are some of the worst on this site, and thats saying alot. You really never bring anything knowledgable or intelligent.

My guess is you are under 20 and fairly uneducated.

Yes Dawson has learnt this, but a bit late really. Maybe he can come back, and as you say, have learnt from it

:patsch Alot worse than any of Erdeis title defences. Erdei has an excellent resume against some excellent LHWs, but like all long reigning champs has a couple of gimmes. But lets look at what you are quoting . Zuniga is a fighter who lost a LMW title fight, got KOd at MW, beaten again at SMW, and then blasted out again in 4 rounds at SMW, and now is getting a world title shot at LHW :patsch. George Blades was at least an established LHW who had only lost on points to undefeated fighters, Tito Mendoza had well and truly grown into LHW after starting his career as a LMW and had earned his chance by beating K Holmes, DeAndrey Abron was also an established LHW who was a good enough opponent for Yusaf Mack and Prince Badi Ajamu after Erdei had dealt with him. So I have to disagree

I like his style, he is gonna always do well with a style like that... especially when you consider his toughness and power.. top pfp? No... the Glen Johnson was almost a passing of the torch... Cloud is gonna be the new Glen Johnson.

Passing of the torch??? Glen Johnson has a record of 14 losses and 2 draws and almost loses everytime he steps up. Johnson has had a couple of decisions go against him, but not as many as his fans would have you believe, and he also got a gift against Tarver

I think Cloud will spark him but with colombian fighters you never know they seem to have an habit of causing some upsets.

He may not lose as much as Johnson, but he has a similar type of style and will fight top guys. There are strong fighters, pressure fighters, aggressive fighters... then there are Guys like Cloud or Johnson. They are different, if you don't see that, then you just don't know anything about fighting.
