How can any boxing fan dislike Lomachenko?

Rigondeaux definitely dismantled Donaire. He thoroughly outboxed him with punishing shots. He wasn't hurt from that knockdown, which came in the 10th, at all, and in the 12th he came forward and beat up Donaire. Circling for a round and change after a knockdown doesn't erase the rest of the fight. Terrible argument.

I think he could definitely match Lomachenko for level of opposition. Gamboa was smaller but had greater physical gifts and proved he was better than Salido-who Lomachenko lost to-by beating him. Postol is also as good as Walters, his win over Matthysse is at least on par with the KO win over Donaire, who was small for the division. If you want to give Loma the edge for the time he's accomplished that in, I can see that argument. I also think having him 3 or 4 is perfectly reasonable, probably where I'd put him.

LOL Rigo landed 10.75 punches a round. That is it. That isn't 'dismantling' anything. How on earth does a guy so small throw and land so few punches? Heavyweights have a higher output than that.

Neutralizing a puncher with superb body movement and footwork, punishing them with hard counters, and reducing them to an utterly beaten fighter in retreat in the last round is a dismantling. I know you're emotional about Rigondeaux not throwing a thousand punches for some reason, that doesn't change the fact he dominated an elite fighter. Donaire was picked apart, thoroughly outbox. In a word, dismantled. Not crushed, not steamrolled.

Rigo won. It was not close to being a 'dismantling' performance. It was a boring fight with little output and was so bad in fact HBO and his own promoter said it was garbage. If I want to see guys throw 30 punches a round I will watch Heavyweights. Rigo for whatever reason (his Chin) is scared to engage.

HBO and his fan boys are ridiculous. No doubt Loma is a phenomenal fighter just off the eye test alone.

Because he's not as cool as Deontay Wilder.

I like Loma, but I don't join obnoxious fan bases. So I don't say much.

Donaire was neutralized. Dismantled means to be broken down, picked apart. Rigo definitely picked him apart. He didn't destroy Donaire by any means but Donaire had no answers. Was gassed, fatigued, beat up, etc. Dismantled sounds pretty accurate to me. And Rigo's punch output has little to do with it; he basically did more with less.

You being bored doesn't mean Rigondeaux didn't dismantle Donaire. You're bad at this.

The punch stats tell me it was not only boring but not a 'dismantling'.

Relying on punch-stats like a casual is a pretty embarrassing argument.

Anyone with eyes knows it was a stinker of a fight yet you are trying to say that Rigo 'dismantled' someone? I don't think anyone disputes that he won but it was not close to being a 'dismantling' and he has pretty much been blackballed from tv since. Being on a PPV undercard is the only way he can get on tv. Nobody is willingly putting him on their network. Why is that?
