sure when manny shows signs of decline. then he will have his urge back.
This waiting game he is playing eventually might backfire.

Maybe, Floyd is a gym rat though, he'll know when he's lost his step, it wont come as a surprise to him, and I think he'll retire whenever he feels anything but 100%.

Neither Floyd or Manny needs eachother, the sport needs the two of them to get it together and fight eachother, but they're gonna name their price before that's done.

That price is only gonna get bigger with them raking in wins, even if its against a cherry picked opponent like Shane Mosley.

Whn you throw 20 punches in a round, you better be damn accurate.

    Even Clottey is accurate.

how do you know for sure how its going to go when floyd has never fought anyone remotely close to pacquiao. i dont see floyds defence holding up against the onslought. pac may not land a lot but he will be hitting him and that will win points. When has floyd looked unsurein the ring, is when he is not given time and space to box. You can see this through all the toughest fights he had. castillo, oscar the first 6 rounds of hatton. But those guys dont bring the speed, stamina and punching technique pac has. If this was an easy fight for floyd i tell you now floyd would have taken this fight a year ago. A lot of people still underestimate pac around here. obviously pac cant be wreckless but if he uses his assets smartly he will beat floyd.

I love these fans who have been watching boxing for a decade maybe. You would make Joe Louis a happy man.

Floyd's probably not scared. And I don't think Sr is scared for his son either. His crackhead dad is probably more worried about Floyd losing which would be a huge dent to Sr's only real claim to greatness, which is his son's career. I think Floyd just doesn't want to fight, at all, and his daddy is telling him not to.

Offensively, yes, but defensively Manny is the same fighter he's always been.

If nothing else, the Mayweathers know boxing. To the trained eye, there must be glaring similarities of the Pacquiao that fought Morales and the Pacquiao of today or why mention it? Mayweather, for all his faults, is not a fool.

Listen when he's pointing out your favorite fighter's weaknesses.

So the same couldn't be said for Manny? Where on your hypothetical rankings do the likes of Margo, Cotto, Clottey, Hatton, ODLH at the given weight at the given age, I mean come on dude. I don't dispute your overall idea I guess, but to act as if it only applies to PBF deminishes your overall point.

Who has Manny fought remotely close to Floyd? People said the same things about Corrales, ODLH, SSM, Gatti, JLC, Hatton etc etc etc. Bottom line, I disagree...Floyd has the reach advantage, he's just as well conditioned, his footwork and defense are better, his timing, accuracy, and ring IQ are second to none, and his power is underrated. He possess every tool he needs to beat any fighter on the planet. I'm not saying he can't be beat, anyone can be beat, but for someone to bet on him being beaten or predict him being beaten, is like the fools picking Victor Belfort last night to beat Anderson Silva...you can talk yourself into believing whatever you wish, but at the end of the day there is no question who the more skilled and better boxer is and it makes no sense to "bet" against the better fighter.
