I like the underdog story, the undersized Rocky Balboa taking on the behemoths... the guy is tough mentally and physically. LOOOOL WHAT????
Rivas avoided the left hook perfectly, excellent movement by Rivas. He must have practised that dodging all day and all night. And he still got broken down with the jab and body shots. Hunter gets hit too much man, TOO much, he would never avoid that Left hook, no way. And even if he does. Body shots and Jab he will be in for a tough tough night. He will make for an exciting fight don't get me wrong. I'm keen to see it, but he ain't beating Whyte. The Chisora that fought Whyte... we will never see that Chisora again... the mental edge Chisora had from his hatred towards Whyte cannot be fabricated or replicated. The human body can do amazing things when emotions are running high.
I think he must've inhaled some of Fury's Brit-Gyp iron mandible dust when they fought each other in the ams because his chin is Brit Level
Yep, you'd better make sure you make a will before you dive off your sill because Hunter will get on his bike and then he'll strike out of nowhere and even the 'pills' Dill is allegedly 'taking for his hair' won't be able to save either Dill or you from despair. Hunter WNM 7 Whyte *NM = No Mas*
Yeah, look at the top ten now: 1. Ruiz 2. Fury 3. Wilder 4. Joshua 5. Whyte 6. Parker 7. Povetkin 8. Pulev 9. Ortiz 10. Hunter 11. Chisora 12. Kuzmin 13. Agit kabayal 14. Joyce 15. Takam 16. Hrgovic 17. Dubois 18. H. Fury 19. Jennings 20. Wallin
When you see it like that it’s not a bad division.Sure there’s no Lennox,Wlad,Vitali or Holyfield,Bowe type quality but there’s some really entertaining fights to be made out of that 20.Pulev at no 8 would be good against a Joyce,Dubois or indeed Hunter.
This. I also like Hunter and want him to do well because he’s a local guy from my city, but he simply hasn’t proven anything in the heavyweight division yet.
He doesn't want to put on the muscle mass to help him be more successful at the weight though. I'd rather him move back down to Cruiserweight, instead of watch him be a plodding, slim heavyweight, with a tubby midsection.
Imo it's a very good era. When we had the klitschkos, everybody was complaining about a bad era, no we just had two heavy atg ruling a mediocre era (or tbh, they ruled like 3 eras). Everyone wished for competitive fights, now we got an era with a couple of good to real good guys, where the clear best fighter is missing. And they are fighting each other. So now we got what we all wanted, and some guys are talking bs about this era. We have some very interesting fighters with unique skills. Joshua is a specimen with good boxing skills and great power Fury is a great boxer with gigantic size Wilder is a ferocious puncher Ruiz is a dark horse with his high volume combination punching Parker is a speedy big man with above average skills Povetkin and pulev are technical very good fighters who are past prime You have dubois coming up and looks really good You have hrgovic who also looks really promising And you have usyk, a certified atg and at least second best cruiser of all time, who imo will be the undisputed heavy kind And also gassiev, a ferocious puncher and tough as nails mf So if we are being honest, then we have a great pool of talent and some great fights are coming. We should be happy, that we don't know what will be the result.
His father was also a great fighter to watch, though much more unorthodox. Hunter brings trouble to any of the top heavies IMO.
Perfect summary if I may say so.If you like the sport of boxing it’s hard to fathom how anyone could s*** on the division as it stands. It’s also my belief that if they all fight each other it’s likely they all share wins and losses as it should be.
Movement is not strictly defense oriented is it Watch his offence and the movement is enough offensively to give most kittens He does get hit often but ive not said otherwise And Gassiev?? Cmon use your eyes Watch the Uysk matches and Gassiev was dominated and just continued to plod foward with minimal movement Punch stats dont alway tell the true story of a fight
