I hear a lot of so called boxing fans wanting this guy to get a shot because he deserves it?. What a joke, after what he did? He should be blacklisted from earning a title shot.

Spadafora would ***** slap you.. Why don't you tell him this to his face instead of the internet!? The man has the right to make a living... You don't have to like him. He already served his time..

People tend to take fighters personal lives into account too much when they're discussing them, im guilty of it myself. I suppose if you decided root against every fighter who had done some shady **** in his past you'd have to root against Tyson, Monzon, Lamotta, Corrales, Gatti, SSR, Chisora, Mayweather and a **** load of other great and exciting fighters. Woudnlt dwell on it too much, even if what Sapdafora did was scummy.

well if u ever heard spaddy's side of the story it's not like he pulled the gun out and shot her, not saying i necessarily believe what he has to say, but nobody will know what happened besides him, his girl and god. too many people care about other people's personal lives. who cares. the more people stop caring the more i won't have to hear about these stupid reality shows about the kardashians and ryan lochte.

Spadafora is not a bad guy. He's a guy who had a tough upbringing that lead him on the path to drug and alcohol abuse. When you're consistently high and/or drunk, you're going to find yourself in some ****ed up situations. They say it takes a village to raise a child. Unfortunately for Spadafora, he was raised in a ****ed up village.

personal stuff aside. i think that spadafora's career is moving too slow for an undefeated guy, that it seems he's going nowhere. his only claim to fame was his sparring session with floyd, which is wearing thin and slowly becoming an afterthought in boxing fan's minds. he should find another promotional company or some other ****...

The personal stuff is why his career has not advanced.

Too many people on here think they know his story. I'm not claiming I know all of it, but they are quick to call him a scumbag for a gun discharging and shooting his pregnant g/f and i hear nobody calling the cop a scumbag that "accidentally" discharged his gun and shot an unarmed paul in the leg. it's the same thing.

According to the victim, they got into an argument after she crashed his car and she pulled the gun and pointed it at him. There was a tussle, the gun accidentally went off, and she ended up getting shot right below her breast.

In the early morning hours of Oct. 26, 2003, after a night of heavy drinking, Russo drove Spadafora's Hummer over a median strip while pulling into a McKees Rock's gas station, slashing two tires. According to newspaper reports, Russo would later testify that they engaged in a heated argument. Panicked, she pulled Spadafora's .38 revolver from her purse and aimed it at him. A tussle ensued for control and the gun accidentally went off, sending a bullet into Russo, an inch below her right breast. The footage was captured on a gas station surveillance video.
Although the details of the ordeal are hazy to Spadafora, he remembers sobering up in the back of a squad car while paramedics attended to Russo. "Cops were calling me a scumbag," he says. "If Nadine would have died, only me, her and God would have known what really happened that night. All of these people wanted to judge me, and they had no idea what really happened."
