How can anyone say that Hopkins is the best LHW?

    When this ****face wants to fight a shot Roy Jones Jr? Is that any indicator to you Hopkins fans that he's pretty much done? Barley beat a C level boxer in his last fight, I expect him to retire real soon.

    the fact hes fighting roy jones a fight he feels will make him more money than outher offer on the table , should not change his postion as LHW number 1

    He's not. He knows it, too, which is why he keeps fighting smaller men or no-hopers like Jones. He'll steer clear of Dawson, that's for sure.

    Why would anybody say that period? He hasn't fought a "Lt Heavy" in 4 years since Tarver. Since then he has fought Wright, Pavlik and Ornelas all of which who he made move up to fight him and he also lost to calzaghe who he made move up to fight him. How the hell is he the best light heavy in the world???

    Bhops is a great fighter, but no, he isn't the best LH in the world. that honor belongs to Chad Dawson. Before Pascal came into the picture, Dawson had already defeated Adamek who is the current 200lbs king, Tarver, and Johnson. If they fought today, Dawson would be heavily favored to beat Pascal.

    it looks like dawson and pascal are going to get into the ring in april

    ring magazine should make that fight for the light hw championship since i agree with this thread that b-hop should no longer considered as a serious division-type fighter... much like how floyd can't be really considered a welterweight fighter, he is an attraction fighter

    Dawson easily owns the best wins of anyone at the division. A shame he can't get the time of day from the alleged "No. 1" fighter at LHW.

    It is circumstantial, he is one of the most skilled fighters in boxing period. However because of his age, he can't beat everybody. Do you guys think anyone in that division could touch him if he was 15 years younger? Hell no, give him his respect, not many will be doing this at 45.

    No way is he the best lhw. Fair enough he was competitive with Calzaghe but that was nearly two years ago. Beat a middleweight and Ornelas now he is fighting Jones.

    Dawson is the best lhw for me.
