Yeah but he is not 15yrs younger and when he was he wasn't fighting at LHW so the resulting answer is, NO, he is not the best LHW. His fights have no bearing on ANY divisions rankings because he does not fight fighters in his division or in their divisions. he fights strictly for entertainment to the fans and money to him now. This happens with every fighter once they make it to the top, they no longer have the desire to climb the rankings again in any weightclass, they maneuver around the sport and find the best money fights on their own, regardless of what the alphabet rankings say.

I don't think he's the best LHW. Somebody young and active will outwork him and beat him on points.

Yeah, but you're right in that the Ring system ain't perfect. I hate their ratings often enough but I still consider the Ring champ to be the real champ and it's one of those situations where it reminds me of the Churchill quote "it is the worse system except as compared to all the others." It's not perfect and it's biased but every other way is more biased and far more imperfect so what the hell.

ROFLMAO If Bad Chad ever got in the ring with Bernard Hopkins his name would change to Sad Chad. He'd get the same treatment Trinidad & Pavlik got A boxing lesson from The Professor

If he wants to say he is the best in the division he should fight Dawson and drop all this talk of a fight with Haye.

What the **** has Chad Dawson ever done?

Beat an old Johnson & Tarver twice ... maybe he can sign up to fight Tarver again and make it a trilogy. Hopkins shouldn't be fighting Jones at this point though, I agree with that.

...Tarver and Johnson were at the top of the division though. Both name opponents who've been titlists and linear champions and head and shoulders above most of the competition. Of course it's an accomplishment that he beat both of them twice...

Its strange that he is even ranked at lhw, he fights once a year against non lhws. This Jones fight is now pointless, about 5 years to late.
