How can Floyd be regarded #1 at 147 (some claim he is P4P) if he has not fought ...

i think it is fair to say floyd is the "disputed" undisputed champ at 147...fact is Floyd has not faced the tough challenges at 147

Yes i do recognize him as the "champ" but he cant really and truthfully lay claim to being "undisputed" - sorry but wins over Judah and Baldomere wont cut it...its the same type of situation that Jermain Taylor was in ( obviously floyd is light years ahead of Jemain but...)

Jermain had the title at 160 but there was a dispute over how valid his claims were to those titles because his wins werent that convincing....same with Floyd....his fights with Baldo and Judah were convincing wins but not convicing opponants -- fighting Cotto,Williams is a loooonnngg way from fighting Judah and Baldomere....

Yes you can point to the he beat the man who beat the man argument to you are blue in the face but the fact is FLOYD IS DISPUTED AT 147

the division is wide open right now as far as saying one fighter can beat another because of skill set is stupid every fan knows at a higher class of competition the best man will win on that night and the only way two prove it is in the ring till then no undisputed

pbf sayed he was p4p number 1, so theres no one higher then him at his weight or p4p.

anyother fighter that was p4p1 was also number 1 on there weight class, thats how it is and should be until they get beat.

He cherry picked by taking his pick at the weakest champion at the time. Floyd, Hatton, Hoya and a few others can move up or down to fight any champion at any weight class whenever they want. Oscar is cherry picken for pacman right now.:bart

most of this p4p **** is just the boxer themselves saying this **** so much people start repeating them just like rockstar groupies they cling to these words if he truely believed half the **** he says he would fight all worthy challenges if its greatness he wants theres only one way to prove it by taking out the elite

Yeah but from here to boxing eternity any realistic person will look at those two wins and say "hmm he must of been fighting cans because he was breaking down--Hatton not bad though". Then they will look at the rest of his record and say "hmmm why does this old Ring magazine make such a big deal out of Floyd Mayweather?" Next:-(

HE DOESNT NEED TO...FLOYD HOLDS THE WBC AND IF HE WOULDA PAID THE SANCTION FEE AFTER JUDAH HED STILL HOLD THE IBF BELT...I THINK FLOYD WOULD BEAT BOTH PAUL WILLIAMS AND COTTO THOUGH HED HAVE TROUBLE WITH BOTH OF THEM...WILLIAMS STYLE IS RIDICULOUS AND COTTO IS STRONG...BUT WE'VE SEEN HIM FACE MUCH BETTER FIGHTERS SUCH AS CORRALES AND DE LA HOYA...HATTON WAS NUMBER 9 IN THE WORLD....CINTRON DOESNT EVEN DESERVE A MENTION..HE ONLY HOLDS THAT IBF BELT CUZ FLOYD VACATED IT AND CINTRON WAS EXPOSED AGAINST A GUY WITH ONLY 15 WINS IN 22 FIGHTS...IF COTTO OR WILLIAMS WANT THE FIGHT THAN SHOW FLOYD THE MONEY!

    MAKES NO SENSE...LETS SEE

JUDAH BEAT CORY SPINKS FOR THE THE WBC WBA AND IBF TITLES

JUDAH GOT HIS ASS WHOOPED BY CARLOS BALDOMIR

CARLOS BALDOMIR ONLY PAID SANCTIONING FEES ON THE WBC BELT...HE FORFITTED THE WBA AND IBF TITLES...

SO CINTRON AND COTTO WOULDNT EVEN HAVE TITLES IF SANCTIONING FEES WERE PAID...ONLY BELT FLOYD DOESNT HAVE LEGIT IS THE WBO REALLY....ITS NOT HARD AND PEOPLE WILL ALWAYS FIND A REASON TO BASH FLOYD..

WHAT HE NEEDS TO DO IS MOVE UP TO HEAVYWEIGHT AND FIGHT VLADIMIR KLITCHKO TO GET RECOGNITION...FREAKIN IDIOTS FLOYD IS THE UNDISPUTED CHAMP...UR BOY MIGUEL COTTO WOULDNT HAVE THAT BELT IF BALDOMIR PAID THE FEE ..

MIGUEL COTTO IS A PAPER CHAMPION AND WHEN FLOYD BEATS HIM SOMEONE ELSE WILL BE CALLING OUT FLOYD ...

Floyd defeated the linear champion in Carlos Baldomir. Corey Spinks had unified the division before his loss to Zab Judah. Judah lost to Baldomir and Baldomir lost to Mayweather. He is the linear champion. IE: The man who beat the man who beat the man who beat the man. . . as far back as that stretches.

The other title holders are contenders. They need to start trying to unify against Floyd or go to another division to claim legitimacy.

 Spinks beat Mayorga who beat Forest and thats as for back as your phony Ring magazine linealism goes. The Ring ignored the true lineal champions and started from scratch based mostly upon their own biased paid off opinions.
